Hey guys, I know how excited I am for 08, i am praying for a superstar mode. I personally think that if the AHL is going to be in the game, why not start putting the rookies in the game? If they perform in exibition ( would be a neat feature to play your exibtion games with guys trying to make the team) why not give them a chance on the big club? Or send them down to the AHL? Just a thought tell me what you guys think.
Thanks,
Brody

Both Madden and NBA live put Rookies in the game...

I hate having to wait a year to play with rookies that are in the game

As far as Madden and NBA Live putting rookies in the game the majority of them are 22 years old and out of college as the rookies being drafted into the NHL are only 17-18 years old. I realize there are some exceptions like Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin and Stall but not all rookies are to play right away. Look at Spezza for example he went to the minors for 2 years after he was drafted to develop. Worse comes to worse if they do play in the NHL right away I am sure they will be in the roster update.

there would be rookies in the game but video games like nhl and nhl 2k cant put them in the game for one reason. the reason is that the nhl players association has a contract with the nhl owners and b.o.g. in that contract it says that players who have yet to play in an nhl game cannot be placed in a video game. so if patrick kane or jonathan toews plays a game next season the can be included in the game in the next roster update or nhl 09. same thing happened this year with malkin, kopitar, staal, etc. i know it sucks but wut can u do?
