Well judging by this http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/802/802663p1.html 2K stole EA's great feature, but it using it a bit differently. Personally, without the shooting or deking movements it just won't be as good. 2K is still going to use the same old button setup where only 1-timers score. Good luck with that one, 08 will yet again be the better game.

Wow, I know that EA's Skill Stick was great but did that really mean that 2k had to pratically clone the idea into their own game? That's really kinda sad.

not exactly a clone as the right analogue won't have shooting capabilities...
also, i thought it was pretty cool about laying the stick on the ice to block passes...hopefully 08 will give the ability to do that as well...

copying EA's skill stick would be the smartest thing 2K could do, it's why I loved EA 07. They should have added the shooting capabilities in 2K8 as well. Why go half-a**ed on a good thing?

2K has been able to lay the stick down for a long time. It's one of thie things I was hoping for from NHL08 this year.

It doesn't matter if they copied EA's idea of it, because 2K's graphics SUCK! Haha. I don't know why any buys 2K games. I have always bought the EA games. The graphics are so much better.

And how long ago did you migrate from the 2k forums?
Anyways, whoever said that 2k8's graphics su.ck obviously hasn't seen the shots of the game... they look sick, their graphics are finally almost as good as EA's.

the only reason id ever play a 2k hockey game is to play as the historical teams b/c EA doesnt have any of those.
i mean. a chance to play as the 1980 US olympic team vs the Soviets... thats amazing.
(disclaimer: just got home from vacation in Lake Placid, so i'm even more partial to that team than i usually am... U-S-A! U-S-A!)

it was a cheap shot but EA took the goalie idea and changed it just enough just llike 2K did for the skill stick
as long as they are both around they will keep on stealing ideas from each other!

EA's goalie control isn't really a cheap shot to 2k... they took their very general idea and incorporated the analog sticks to make it far more innovative.... 2k basically took EA's Skill Stick and slapped it on 2k8 with some (slight) changes (and plus they put the pass button on the shoulder buttons like EA). I find that to be a far bigger cheap shot than the goalie control thing.

buddy thats not what were talking about. I think 2k's version is still worse...who cares if you can move your stick to recieve a pass. what good is it if you can't shoot?

ive always thought that 2ks hockey games are to full of gimics and are very unrealistic... EA has always been my first choice for hockey games.
GO EA!!
