there are way more talented canadians then there are americans

IMO the only American that should get on the cover is Chris Drury. But even then there are players from other countries that will get consideration before him.

Maybe in a couple of years.

the Games made in Canada and the leading scores in the league or usually Canadian (Sidney Crosby). and they usually pick the popular guys in the league.

His chance for the cover has come and passed, I don't see it happening at this point.

its the young guys that will get the covers, could you imagine the reaction if Modano was this years cover lol. The Sid kids and all the children that play the game would freak

Well, majority of the best players in the NHL are Canadian, so it's not like they're being picky by nationality.

I am american and I don't agree that modano should get the cover because he is the american leader? there are how many other players ahead of him in these categories?
modano is or was a great player...but cover boy? not...

I think CROSBY probably should have been coverboy this year...great expectations for future play and great play last year...he is the future of the nhl in my mind...he is great and people hate him for it but you can't deny it... the only knock he has against him is lack of a great nhl career...which barring any health issues will come in time.

TJ Brennan (From New Jersey) will be on the cover in a few years .

I think there is a bias against winnipeg jets, hartford whalers, and quebec nordiques. None of those teams have been represented by a cover! How about players from Switzerland or Germany? Where are their covers?

its just that there are way more fan favourite canadiens than americans

and also most nhl games are sold in canada and most canadien fans like canadien players cause theres alot more of them and no offense to americans the canadien players are waaayyy better
