This is one of the better ideas to come around in a hockey game in a while...this is so awesome how you can actually control the player and then the blue line will draw it for him unlike madden where you would just draw the line and he would do the route...This is absolutely amazing and cant wait to draw up some sickk plays!!

psssht, u can only control 1 player man, therefore the rest of the player will be skating their routes just like the WR does in Madden? I like NHL better, but why u dissin' madden man, u play as QB, u can't change to the receiver until u pass it.

you control one player then you switch to the other players till' their all done...but when your doing other players, the other people you have already done will be skating their routes so you can see what you need to do..

Since I was quite confused my first time reading the posts in this thread, I will try to clarify it in case anyone else is confused as I was.

When you create a play, you take control of the first player and skate the route you'd like him to travel in real-time. When you go to create the path of the second player, as you're skating in real-time to create the second path, the first path will be skated out in real-time also as you're making the new one.

Then in a game, when you skate through the designated start point for that play, the players on the ice will skate to their positions and follow through the paths you set for them automatically.

This will for sure add alot to the game. Making your own plays, where in the world did EA come up with this one. Maybe they noticed no matter what the players went their own way all the time, the set plays in the game never worked because 1. the players went where they wanted to, and 2 they just kinda sucked. I can't wait to spend hours thinking up sweet plays, making them and executing them. Lets just hope it works as good as they say it will. It's too bad it doesn't work online this year, but I'm liking the quote "wait till next year".

I like how they added a whole different feature to the game. It is a brilliant idea, I think. I can't wait until this game comes out in September!

If it works as well as it's expected too, this is easily gonna be the best feature for the hardcore players of NHL. It really makes teams that much more unique and lets you be creative.

Well, no more of doing the same move over and over and over and over.
