I am a HUGE hockey fan. Most of my friends view me as an anamoly because I don't appear to be a typical fan. Will EA change the intelligence of the game to make it more realistic? Example: my goalie frustrates me when the puck comes up the ice and he does not play it; rather he watches it as an opponet skates up the ice to seize control. Why is it that in the real NHL 2 players can skate behind the net setting up a break out pass? NHL series for EA does not have that for it seems barely one player could skate behind net. More importantly when is the computer going to be programmed to dump the puck in the zone and cycle it UNTIL you get a shot at the net? Why do they take a shot immediately the enter the zone. Why is the computer's breakout pass effortless? My goalie gives up a rebound and before my player can clear the puck I get hooked lose control of the puck and give up a scoring chance. When is EA going to develop the game where players actually use the boards to set up passes like the real NHL? I want a real NHL stat game where I face 25-37 shots. Not 50. When are we going to see other penalties like too many men on ice or 4 minute double minor's? Or even a 5 minute major?
