Lotta disconnections to EA master server lately. I tought I was the only one, I tought my dog was chewing on my internet cable but seems that lotta players are experiencing the same problem.

Some says it's because EA are testing stuff for the new patch.

Anyway, when it happens, we are only like 1/8 of players getting disconnected. Played this morning, I was squad leader and I was flying a near full-housed transport to the enemy titan and I lost connection to master server ( they probably crashed and called me noob ). When I rejoined, I was on the opposite team and for some reasons, we were only 5 players out of ~50 that were complaining about that disconnection.

theres alot more than 5 with this problem
ea are very quite about it too

have never had this problem before, but today i've been dc'd with the same message a dozen times.

:S almost everyone haves it... I asked on a server or someone knows how to fix it and everybody says: "Ahh, I'm not the only one with this problem..." 4/5 (or more) of the players on that server had it.. I Google'd the problem, tried everything but nothing works:S I hope someone can help me...

It's definitely a problem on EA's side, 4 to 5 people are dropped from the server from time to time, I haven't found anyone who hasn't had this problem yet. I've been trying to find out what's going on but EA's painfully quiet about it. That's the service I'm used to get from EA though.

My guess is that it's got something to do with with the upcoming patch (1.51) and that testing it causes server instability.

*Edit* I just found out that EA/GameSpy moved it's servers to a new data center a couple of days ago, this is most likely the cause of our problems.
EA remains silent.

Same problem here. Tried everything, installed punkbuster again and again and updated it. Made new firewall rule in my Norton 360. Uninstalled Battlefield 2142 and than reinstalled it. New update patch 1.50
NOTHING HELPS. I'm really disappointed in EA if this isn't solved soon.

WOW !!! Just when I thought it was safe to go back in and play, we have another EA snafu to keep us from having too much fun. Was thinking of spending the money for Bad Company, but I think I'll try something else from someone else. I'm tired of trying to fix EA crap.

Patch 1.51 hmmm.... I guess this will be the process:

1) install patch 1.51 and it crashes randomly
2) uninstall everything
3) install V1.0
4) patch 1.4
5) install NS
6) patch 1.4 again
7) patch 1.5
8 ) update punkbuster
9) set "run as admin"for win7
10) add -widescreen to command line
11) reload your personal config files
12) patch 1.51

maybe that will get you back to where patch 1.5 was? if it does I doubt they'll really fix the problems...
game hangs when ALT-TAB, turrets shooting through walls, motion mines on titan bouncing like flubber all over the map, a gunship that has wild convulsions when inverted -can't even do a loop, wasting the first 30 seconds of the first 2 rounds redoing my kit because it never remembers it, getting a award in a round but it doesn't show up in your record, punkbuster kicking people who don't cheat while the auto-knifer mows people down, impossible to kick vote the * that flies inside our titan bay, autobalance switching me to the loosing team with 1 minute left when I have 30 kills on the other team, the "private bug" gives me 5000 points for things I already got and I lose my upgrades, when I change kits a second before I spawn I have some kit that isn't the kit I had or switched to, when I pick up someone's kit sometimes I don't have any grenades even after reloading ammo or I can hold RDX but can't throw it, when someone sitting in titan guns spots an enemy it fubars the minimap for teammates down inside the titan, when commanding inside our titan after our shields are down and there are a lot of attackers then the red dots on the commander map are not on top of enemies I spot - horizontally offset a few inches, I sometimes can't spawn on my titan, constant server crashes and of course EA master server disconnects with no explanation and very slow to fix it.

And this forum probably logged me off already so I better copy this so I don't lose it.

Common EA! Say what's happening!

New problem:

I play, "Lost connection with EA Master Server.", log in again, rejoin server, Battlefield crashes, I get angry, No-one helps, etc...

Someone else know what's the problem o.O'?

*edit* I'm emailing EA atm so I hope they will answer...

Lol, sad but true

The problem is not really EA as much as it is game spy they just did a move and after that is when the disconnect issue started.

Is patch 1.51 out yet... cause not only do i get the random lost connection to EA master server... half the servers are gone.. my list is small???

Thanks snip1dogpound - you are exactly correct in this. most of the recent issues are traced directly to the Game Spy Data Center move. They got some talented guys and gals over there and I am sure they'll get it back up and running in no time.

Late to the game. Fixed already.

Well here it is the 25th of September and they may have the connection issue fixed when are they going to fix the ping issue? My servers cant stay populated with almost everyone having ping issues of over 300 where they were 30-40. Most of the is happened after that public beta of 1.51. Whats up EA Do you want clans leaving 2142 and going to other games? Took me 5 mins just to connect to the master server then get pbed for high ping...in my own server.....talk about getting upset.
