I have been playing TWG 2008 and have almost completed the Tiger Woods Challenge. I am buying a new computer. I do not want to lose the progress I have made so far. How can I save my progress and load it onto the new computer? Thanks.

... make a copy of the following:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Ability
playername.hal, playername.cal

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\Players
playername.plr and the playername folder

... once you install the game on the new machine, run it once, then copy these files & folder to the proper locations on the new machine and you'll be good to go ...

I have a related question. I've been playing the EASports Tour and finished the second round of Q-School, (almost finished and ready to move up a level to the PGA Tour). I stopped playing last night after the first two rounds and when I went to resume the tournament today, it said I had skipped the last 4 rounds and I didn't qualify to move on and had to start a new year from scratch. What happened? It usually lets you pick upn a tournament where you left off. Is there some way to restore this to where I was?

Thanks

I have the same exact problem as crashrr1. I finished the 1st round of Q-school and exited the game. Came back today and it says I skipped the rest of the matches. What the frog!!! I am #@$#%@@#$@! very pissed. I don't have time to replay 7 tournaments (and I will get some what bored of kicking the other players butts - on Expert). EA needs to put out a quick fix for this!

... although there is no fix for this issue, what seems to prevent it from occurring is starting the next round, take at least one shot or play a hole, and then exit ...

How can there not be a fix for something so flawed? this is inexcusable as far as i'm concerned and there should be a full refund coming from EA. does anyone else feel this way? or should i just sit back and let EA tell me tough luck, while at the same time they delete my posts complaining about this egregious error?

Your posts were deleted for unnecessary profanity which is a TOS violation of this forum....you can certainly express your feelings about EA, TW08, etc...but do so within the TOS (Terms of Service) of this forum.

I don't like the save "BUG" but if you do as suggested it works for me. EA has given up on the PC I doubt there will be any patch for the PC.

Nobody gets paid to delete posts. Tim moderates this board on a voluntary basis, which is an egregious abuse of his time and effort .

I have Windows Vista, bought Tiger Woods 08 online and downloaded. I have restarted the game 3 times and near completion have lost my profile but says when I go to create it again that it already exist. As far as I can determine, its a piece of junk

Have copied the files mentioned in your post, but TW08 still won't pick up my profile. Do you have any other suggestions?? I was wondering of there might be a conflict between the My Documents files and the Program Files??

Would appreciate your thoughts....

Thanks

Maybe if the operating system differs on your system then there might be issue, like if one is xp and other is vista or one is xp sp2 and other is xp sp3.

Nothing reveals humanity so well as the games it plays.

Does anyone know if it's possible to move player/progress from TW2007 to TW2008, with the added issue that my old PC w/TW2007 was XP based and my new PC w/TW2008 is Vista based?
