Last time it was a little better. I think the pairing Federer vs Stich makes a slow match even slower. Maybe next time Venus vs. Ivanovic and higher speed.

I just think that many players don't even know how matches with minimal lag feel. I hate playing in conditions when flat shots go behind the baseline for no obvious reason - happens a lot against Showtime. Instead of playing aggressively one has to play patiently and push, so boring.

Speaking of defence: A good slice helps a lot for defending, that's why I like using allrounders - they allow you to play a varied game from the baseline, both defensively and aggressively. Only the relatively slower DBs like Borg or Evert have good forehand slices, which is the reason why both Urigan and CmonChrissy are so good at defence. Nadals just run like rabbits and Nadal's slice is average, but combined with his speed it is good enough to still run down the next shot. This shows how nicely balanced GST is.

winagainfuture wrote:@ Epon I tried very hard to stay away from your backhand . This is normaly easy for me to go to peoples weaker sides.

I go to Showtime's forehand and Epon's backhand. You have to play aggressively and take your opponent's time away to execute one of those crazy top spin shots.

Well I have tried this at times and seem to have more success going to week sides or up middle. I will test it on Epon but Showtimes tried and true His forehand is off limits

VMoe (on alt as Djokovic) - itsmeVSwifi (as Federer): 3-1, 4-3 (8-6)

I'd say my flat mastery is on par with yours, winagain. Good matches, failed to serve it out twice in the second match and you saved three match points with great shots in the tie break, but I finally converted the fourth one. You defend really well, maybe your game is geared a bit too much on defence, but you have the shots to play a more aggressive game.

Well my coverage seems to be failing in comparison to other top players. Could be a number of things. Again great coverage from you sir, very nice strokes and way to hold serve. I have been weak returning these last couple days
I was wrong footing you but just to good and able to keep um in and even hit winners. Bring on GST2 you all are just to good for me but I had fun mastering my little shots

AMADiego9, what a joke that Top 30 (!) player is. I played against him before, so I knew what to expect - it is still shocking to see someone being ranked so high and lobbing respectively drop shotting most of the time. Each time I hit a flat backhand down the line to his forehand - even when he didn't have to move in order to reach the shot - he responded with a lob. You deserve to lose 6000 points, not just 60 points from our match.

Then there is MeDickuLust. Very strange player: That guy has really good top spin shots, but instead of staying at the baseline he most of the time approaches the net on these top spin shots. Plays volleys and drop shots there, but weird considering how well he can play from the baseline (using a created DB with Roddick's serve). I won 4-2, 3-1 and finally 3-0, he saved a double match point at 2-1 in the first match with great play.

Gloktar is back! A classic French Nadal. There were more of them in ancient times. Ranked ~120. My memories of him included high return lobs - he hit only two or three this time. Apart from that a very good player. Be careful against him. I detect a 45% probabilty that you will face him soon.

You have beaten this opponent 0 times so far. I will notice you when I have more information about him.
