This is according to multiple people on Operation Sports and EA Forums, after the pre-season the AI teams don't recall their star players from the minors and they play there all year!?
Is the reason because since you can scratch star players during the pre-season, teams forget to put them back into the lineup?

If such a problem is in the game (which seems increasingly like the case) you do wonder what exactly the testers have been doing, if they have managed to completely miss it.

Wow this is bad. Hopefully it gets patched up.
Last year for the longest time I noticed Jordan Staal was always in the minors, it drove me nuts seeing that since if Pittsburgh could not afford him he should have been let go. And of course you could never trade for him since he was too good and to expensive. Logic defying.

From Inhockamrk on Operation Sports:
Crosby didn't get demoted in my sim, but just from looking at the AHL lineups from Philly to Vancouver on October 28th I saw Byfuglien, Alfredsson, Arnott, Knuble, Kesler and Henrik Sedin playing in the minors.

How long does it take to sim a season? 5 minutes? Obviously, this game isn't being tested correctly.

More like 15-30 depending on how many injuries there are, or you can turn roster changes to the CPU but if you care about your dynasty fixing the injuries yourself takes a couple minutes. Sim time really depends on how involved the user is.

Well, completely hands off simming shouldn't take longer than 5 imo. I know I've simmed entire seasons in a few minutes.
Either way, 5 or 30, they don't test the AI before shipping?

my assumption is that the testers test the online features 99% of the time and let the noobs test the offline stuff. But since they are new they are to scared to say anything when they notice something wrong and it doesnt get solved. EA you have to pick your game up when it comes to this kind of stuff. its uncalled for. Im still having freezing problems just using regular season mode.

I'm surprised that none of the community day attendees had caught this. From the stories that I hear, a great deal of them simmed through seasons right off the bat in BAGM.

This has been a problem for several years (big names in the minors). I will venture a guess that big name FA's stay FA after a few seasons as well.
They really went all out on HUT and Gameplay and ignored everything else to a significant degree. That is heavily disappointing in a way. Still love the feel of the game and excited to commit to online for the first time.
I am putting $100 down that the mode still freezes constantly and will eventually corrupt save files.

The community day version was a pretty early build of the game so most bugs/problems are overlooked or brushed off as the version is no where near complete. The scary part is having the problems from the community event still hindering in the final version that could have been easily addressed.
