Official Madden NFL 10 Draft website discussion

One of the things mentioned on the Madden NFL 10 website that launched today is our interactive Madden NFL Draft experience. Some of you have been to our Madden Draft sites in the past, where we usually have something interesting going on. This year we're doing something a little bit different.

Madden NFL 10 will kick off the season with the Madden NFL 10 Draft Experience hosted exclusively at maddennfl.easports.com on Saturday, April 25th. The innovative website will feature a live, streaming draft analysis show produced right from Madden headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several interactive elements, including live call-ins from NFL athletes, on-site correspondents from New York City, and the chance for Madden fans to phone in with comments and questions. As players are drafted, their official Madden NFL 10 ratings will be released and discussed live. The website will also feature dynamic polls, social networking feeds, photos from the NFL Draft, and live blogs from the Madden NFL 10 player ratings team. The Madden NFL Draft Experience is a fully interactive destination for NFL and Madden fans alike.

As you can see, this is a pretty big step up from what we've done in the past. I'd like to use this thread to discuss our plans for Draft day. Madden dev team member Donny Moore will be a big part of the show/site on draft day. For those who don't know Donny, he's the guy who rates all of the players in Madden.

Will we be able to see screenshots of the rookies, like we have been accustomed to the past couple of years?

Yep. That's in the plans as well per usual.

Are the Thompson's hosting? Any chances of a raczilla sighting?

Yes and yes. They'll be hosting the show (maybe along with a special guest, still working on that). I'll be there as well, interacting on some of the social media touch-points mentioned in the press release.

Well ya'll be giving info and insight on the franchise mode on madden 10. In other words will ya'll be able to give any info at all about franchise mode at that time.

During the show we're really going to focus on the Draft and the ratings. I'm not sure whether or not franchise info will be out there at that point, but franchise will for sure be discussed at some point this year like all of the other features. We've got a long way to go.

There have been some changes for sure. I'd hate to speculate on what "a lot" means because I think that probably means something different to everyone. When the info comes out, I'm sure you'll let us know what you think of it.
