Are you serious? They have forums for this yet this game has been broken for years .. i've written multi page letters to EA telling them what to fix about this game for years now and apparently they dont read any of anything that anyone says to them. So I guess i'll get it all out right here and now so it can fall on def ears one more time.

Too many interceptions, and too many returned for touchdowns, this is something that is not going to be fixed by raising offensive players pursuit .. as I just played a game online and Brady threw 3 pick sixes, one because of that new graphic where the QB gets hit and lobs it to the d-lineman for a pick 6, that graphic happens way too much.

The new gangtackle thing is wrong too, I see way too many times the running back coming out of the other side of a 10 man pileup and going for the touchdown.. how often does that really happen in real life? I dont recall ever seeing it.

about franchise- Why do you make all the players come to coaching after one year off? its totally unreal.. and its especially not the good players that go to coaching. And what happened to the coaches rating bars? and what happened to owner mode? the best madden ever was the one with owner mode .. I want to adjust prices and try to get my team out of debt.. I know im not the only person that likes that depth. Im glad to see you finally tried to fix the drafts.. now the only problem is you need waaay more draft classes cuz ive already won 3 superbowls with 3 different teams because of Jalani Okoye. I'm guessing you only have exactly 30 different draft classes? we need at least 100.

about online- This is my first month ever playing online and ive been playing madden hardcore for over 10 or 15 years, and I have to say people are pretty good... even though hardly any of them play right its still fun for the challenge. One problem I have is that everytime I do get the lead the other person quits .. which makes my record look far worse then it should be.. when the other person quits it should be an automatic win I shouldnt have to continue playing the cpu .. as they keep fake spiking the ball, which happens way to much the cpu's 2 minute offense is dumber than ever.

thanx for listening Ive wanted to be on the game test team for this game for years I know everything thats wrong with this game.. now get on it and fix it for next year, instead of keeping adding more every year without fixing the original broken engine

Ok, first I would like to say that Madden 10 on the 360 is certainly the best Madden to date on a next gen console. You guys have done well by adding the gang tackling, more realistic animations for ball carriers when the get hit and better pass def AI. However, I would like to bring up a few issues that I feel should be addressed from a fellow game designers stand point. First, I switched my quarter length to 10 min from 5 min and suddenly my defense bigger gaps in it than Michael Strahan's front teeth. Why would my defense that was first in the league overall (rushing and passing included) suddenly get passed on like I had 9 guys instead of 11.. Run Def didnt really change. Yes they gain a few more yards per game because of the chance at more series possessions but that is understandable. However, all of the sudden every quarter back suddenly be came Joe Montana and my pass defense was absolutely terrible. Again I could understand a increase in a few more yards or a extra TD here and there but... Um... not a extra 200~300 yard difference. Does a time increase equal a ramp up of difficulty? It does not make any sense.

Second.. please oh please oh please get rid of the "Catch up" AI. It is quite possible the most annoying thing on the planet. I like shutting out teams. They should not magically become unstoppable for a series just so they can put 3 or 7 points on the board.. A good example of this is the 2 min drill. Yes I understand that the "no huddle" offense can throw a defense on its heels. However suddenly threading the needle and completing passes that would at any other time be broken up or intercepted is not very fair to the player. If you want to make it more competitive for the user have the AI get better on a consistent basis and not just for a series or two to ruin the users shut out. For the record I typically play on either All-Madden or All-Pro. When I switched to 10 min quarters and was suddenly getting passed all over i dropped it down to All-Pro just to see if it would lighten up. It did not! I enjoy longer quarters because it adds a better level or realism to the game. And it affords your defense more tackles and defensive stats to catch up with the rest of the league in franchise mode. Since the games that are simulated for npc teams are simulated at 15 min and the typical user plays at 5 min. Thus giving the user a distinct disadvantage when it comes to defensive stats compared to the rest of the league. X npc player has 55 tackles in 5 games, users highest tackling player has 23. Just an example.

Third, This may simply be my fault. It seems like getting user sacks this year is pretty hard. Getting to the QB no problem, hitting the QB no problem, actually sacking the QB problem.... They almost always seem to just barely get the ball off and it goes squirting out like a wounded duck a few years in front of the line of scrimmage with no eligible receivers around. Inside the pocket that would be intentional grounding yes? Given the flight of the ball was affected by the hit but would it not still be intentional grounding? Now, I am able to get sacks here and there. Mostly with the OLB's or the AI is gets them. However, it seems that 75% of the time I get there and should have the sack the magically flail their arm at the last nano second and the ball shoots up in the air for 5 yards the other way for a in completion.

I am sure pass defense is probably one of the harder AI's to hash out. I know it has plagued just about any football franchise (Madden included) on the market and has always been a large complaint of the general populace. I do not know if this will be of any actual use or if it will be simply chalked up to another unhappy fan, but I feel this is something worth looking into. Outside of this complaint I feel this is a very solid Madden. I am very happy with the product this year and if you guys can somehow find away to fix the few problems, and add some more features and even more stat tracking with the franchise mode I think you will have a even better end product. I hope this rant finds someone there at EA.

Best regards,

Hey EA, I just played the Draft Combine Game for NBA 2k10 and I am pleading with you guys to pick up that game and see their version of a "be a pro" mode. It's their first time making that mode and, not to be a jackass, but they blew every superstar mode you've ever made to smithereens (including the ncaa football versions). Seriously I feel like you guys aren't even trying when I pick up their game and their are 100s of ways to customize your player from custom animations to being able to actually customize your avatar's face. Compare this to the preset faces and roughly 100 (i just did a quick count while writing this)customization options in madden 10. You guys have it right with a bunch of helmet and visor options.but your cleat option is way too small. Seriously, I remember madden on the playstation 2 had more options than madden 10. They also have drills that make you better at the game and affect your players progress. You get a draft projection that you can boost by your performance in these drills as well. You guys removed drills from superstar mode in madden 10 which is ridiculous. They were able to do this all in there first iteration and then I play Superstar in madden 10 and I want to pull out my hair. I love madden a lot and that is why I want it to have something equivalent or better. I want NFL superstar to almost feel like a sports rpg and 2k10 draft combine really delivers where yours falls short pretty much in every category. I know I'm comparing a basketball game to a football game but really all the things done in 2k10 draft combine have a football equivalent. And if you think I'm just madden bashing then go ahead, start your own superstar in madden 10 and see how truly horrific and stripped down it is.

yes .. I forgot to touch on the madden superstar mode lol .. the first problem with it is the unplayable camera views .. I cant wait for nba 2k10 these are the only 2 games I buy every year.. also a few more things I forgot to mention about madden..

why do the ballcarriers stop running sometimes when you arent controlling them? why do ballcarriers run out of bounds when your not controlling them? and why wont the Qb scramble when its on autothrow? O and the new catch in traffic attribute is horrible .. nobody can catch anything no matter how perfect I put it on them

I just have some questions about franchise mode.
1. Why is'nt assist tackles counted to normal tackles like they have it in nfl?
2. Why does player progression only affect players stats at the end of the playoffs and superbowl? Before player progression happened after pre-season games and after week 8.
3. For years in madden there has'nt been a .5 sack where two players would get a sack and was counted as .5 in their stats.
4. Lastly, this is'nt related to franchise but gameplay. I have realized that the a i in pass rush defenders seem to blitz at the offensive lineman and not blitz where the gap is. What happened to elite pass rushers dominating average linemans?
I hope this feedback would help in making my madden experience better. Thank you

yea the blitzing linebackers just run up to the line and it frees the defensive line instead lol .. one other thing how comes when skipping seasons the corners dont get tackles anymore .. and the middlelinebacker gets all the tackles

Some good touches with Madden 10, but some long-term problems not fixed, presumably to appeal to hard-core throttle monkeys whose mastery of button mashing and glitches overcome a real game of football.

All of the following apply to online games:

1. My AI controlled defenders are not retarded. IF I screw up with my controlled player fine, but my AI guys should reasonably hold their positions and cover. Right now, it's way harder playing against an AI defence at the same difficulty level than a human opponent. The biggest problem is with the D-Line. The QB has way to long to throw the football, not even the best O-Line versus the worst D-Line is going to give the QB that much time.

2. It's too easy to make long yardage plays, especially on 3rd and 4th downs where the D is expecting a pass. Even Brees and Manning don't consistently hit 3rd and long all game long.

3. Nano blitzes, 'nuff said.

4. I'd like to see more auto-subs, especially with teams that ordinarily rotate players in and out, not just when they are "dinged" or tired. E.g. the Raiders rotating Bush, McFadden, and Fargas. Same thing with WRs, even the best sit out a play or two.

5. Running the ball takes way too much skill, and passing not very much. It is nearly impossible to maintain a steady running game against players of equal ability. On the other hand, in the NFL it takes a lot of skill to execute a passing play, yet very little skill to get big yardage at times.

6. Find some way to restrict the cheaters that have their QBs take 15 yd+ drops and still run free until all the coverage breaks down.

I'm sure I could think of a few more. The QB accuracies were a great addition, the crap QBs now throw some real boners.

It would be nice to see in the next Madden 11 lighting transitions. i.e: 1pm --- 4pm, shadows begin to shift. 4pm --- 7pm shift from DUSK to NIGHT. Have stadium lights turned on.
Another possible addition would be to IMPROVE PARTLY CLOUDY condition. As is, it looks nearly identical to SUNNY. One idea would be to shift condition from overcast to sunny, possible back to overcast as in Real Life...

Some lingering issues that I have noticed that I would like to see fixed in the next patch and/or next year's game:

1.) I like that online ranked games have been increased to 7 minutes. Personally, I would have prefered 10 minutes, but whatever. Still, i think the accelerated clock needs to leave about 5 seconds more than it currently does for the online ranked games. The current accel clock leaves NO time for making audibles, hot routes, or sending a player in motion. Simply trying to flip the play at the line of scrimmage or motioning a wide receiver (especially the weak side WR) will usually result in a delay of game. Either more time needs to be left on the play clock or players sent in motion need to get set more quickly so we can snap the ball. The fact that it takes 10 whole seconds for a weak side WR to take five steps towards the middle fo the field and we can't snap the ball till he's done is a huge problem.

2.) run blocking seriously needs to be improved for online games. It is almost impossible to run the ball effectively in online games, especially with how short the games are. Almost a full quarter of the a game is spent in the two minute drill. Blockers need to hold blocks longer and do a better job of sealing or cutting backside pursuers.

3.) It looks like the screen pass logic seems like it may have been slightly improved since the last patch, as I have been much more successful at them lately, but QBs need to still do a better job of leading on screen passes. Many screen passes results in the receiver running back towards the defense and getting tackled behind the line. Also, the pulling linemen need to at least hit and slow down the rushing inside linemen before pulling out for the screen.

4.) in online games, it would be nice if the host could select which team gets to be the home team and which gets to be the away team. I amost always get matched up in online play now with me hosting and therefore playing at home. I'd like to be able to give myself a road game online every once in a while.

5.) It would be nice to have some more creative special teams plays, like kickoff/punt return reverses or fake reverses or "Music-City Miracle" - style designed lateral returns.

6.) Having the flags on the goal post uprights is nice, but the play-call screen should show wind speed and direction especially on fourth downs.

7.) I like the the "retro"-style play-call screen, but it would be nice to see some instant replays in the background while in the play-selection screen, especially on challengable plays (it would be really convenient to get a second look at close plays before risking a challenge on them).

8.) Would like to see tattoos on players, be able to select which side to put towels (and animations of payers wiping their hands off between plays and/or putting their hands in hand warmers on cold games would be a nice addition), and the option to give players loose-hanging sleeves (like most QBs have).

Suggestions/issues with single-player franchise (I might have already brought these up before, so forgive me if I'm repeating myself):

1.) I like that the crappy training camp mini-games have been removed, but I would have liked to have seen something replace them because right now there is NOTHING to do between games but stare at your depth chart, and if you're not going to progress players in the Pre-Season, then there really is no point in letting us play those games, especially if the AI substitution logic is so bad (see next item). I would like to see player progression happen after EVERY game in Pre-Season, as well as at several points during the regular season (at the halfway point, going into the playoffs, and maybe even have a specific team's roster progress during their respective bye week).

2.) Pre-Season substitution logic should be improved. Right now, all the AI does is swap its first and second player on the depth chart at each position (or in the case of WR and DB, subs the first two for the third and fourth). Instead, the depth chart should act more like a stack, with the starters being sent to the BOTTOM of the list (or removed completely) at halftime. That way, an injury or fatigue to the backup player doesn't get the starter subbed back into the game in the second half.

3.) Additional suggestions for Pre-Season substitution: During weeks 2 and 3, the AI could sub in second string players after first quarter (specifically, at the start oftheir first new drive in the second quarter). AI should also start subbing in third and fourth-string players in the fourth quarter. Basically, I would like to see the AI make an effort to play EVERY SINGLE player on their roster. BUT, if no player progressions happen during pre-season, then these suggestions are kind of null and void.

4.) Would like to be able to set my lineups for special teams (specifically kick coverage), because I occasionally see my starting linebackers or wide receivers playing kickoff coverage, and have even see them get hurt a couple times.

5.) Having to upload an NCAA draft class at the START of the regular season effectively means that gamers need to keep a FULL SEASON ahead in NCAA 10. Kind of irritating. I propose two possible ways to improve this:
a.) Allow Madden and NCAA to sync with each other during the season. Madden could be made to read the stats for players straight out of the NCAA save file until the NCAA season is finished, at which point the draft class would have to be saved and imported into Madden for the remainder of the Madden season.
b.) Design the NCAA game to prompt us to save the draft class at multiple points during the season and upload them into Madden at the appropriate times during the Franchise season to update your scouting reports. This way, we can play Madden and NCAA simultaneously on a week-by-week basis.

Why can't the game update the player to watch screen with the last season's stats in the career modes?

The cut scenes are not something to die for, but its not as bad anymore after the first patch.

Instead of the developers wasting time to organize a soundtrack, why not let the users play their own soundtracks off their HD? I feel the soundtracks get worse and worse every year that madden releases a new game.

Putting a player on IR does not free up the roster spot.

My FS went down for the season. I had to release my fourth RB to sign a new FS. Thanks.

How do you turn off the half times show? Boring, try spending money of the A.I. not the non game play stuff. The A.I. defense is h.o.f. on all-pro / all madden no matter which team i'm playing against. My o-line suck they can block my grandmother. the a.i.s o-line blocks everyone no matter how many guys I blitz. 9 out of 10 times the a.i. defense tackles my receiver as soon as he catches the ball. Mostly shoes string tackles. The 1st down is a joke my guy always falls back or to the side where as the a.i. guy always either falls forward or break a tackle. If ea wants to make the game seem real quit with the non game stuff and fix the A.I.

7. I'd like to see the actual ball spot before calling my play on short yardage. Right now I can't see if it's a foot or a yard which can be a big deal when deciding to call a QB sneak.

Does anyone from ea even read these? I know this has been talked about before but how about a trophy room for franchise. If you win the superbowl there is no evidence of it after the fact. Two or three years later no one remembers. How about a Hall of Fame if you have a great player after he retires no one remembers. Also the 10 draft pick limit stinks, if you are in salary cap trouble you should be able to trade and rack up draft picks to replace the guys your losing. There is no such rule in the NFL.
