Greetings All,
To recap where we're at. On Wednesday, September 8th we announced that Need for Speed World had lifted the level 10 cap for players who have not purchased the Starter Pack.

We created a thread on the forum for the community to discuss this announcements. The original thread was getting extremely long so I've locked it and we're going to continue the conversation here.

Below is a recap of my posts on this topic:

[1] Once thing that you have to remember is that when you purchased the Starter Pack you received a lot more than just a level cap removal. In fact you got a lot more than $20 worth of goods. You received:

- $20 worth of SpeedBoost
- A free car (saves you 25,000 of in-game cash that you could spend on Performance upgrades)
- Bundle of Power Ups
- Network Priority status

We feel that the Starter is and always been a great value.

[2] Removing the level cap is something that the community has been asking for since we announced the Starter Pack. We feel that this is a very positive change for Need for Speed World. Not only does everyone get access to the entire game but it means that there will be more people racing at higher level. This should ensure that no matter what level you are, you'll always be able to find opponents to race against.

[3] We are not and never were going to charge additional money for the content updates. The content updates will always be free regardless of whether you purchased the Starter Pack or not.

[4] The three 7-day rentals, of the three best cars in the game, we are giving to the players who bought the Starter Pack is our way of saying THANK YOU for being the dedicated and passionate fans you are. We really are grateful to have fans that are so passionate that they support our games and take the time out of their day to post on the forums.

[5] There have been a lot of duplicates of this thread appearing on the forum. Please be aware that we (myself and the moderators) will be locking and removing any duplicate threads of this topic. The reason for this is because we created this thread for everyone to discuss / post their opinions. Furthermore, if you have a suggestion on what you feel you should have received instead of the 7-day rental you should post it in this thread.

We aren't trying to censor anyone, we would just prefer to keep all comments on this topic in one thread.

[6] It seems that the biggest problem that player's have with the announcement of the level cap removal is that they feel that they should have received more than three 7-day rentals vouchers.

Last night I was discussing this with the community (in this thread) and a very good point was brought up. A lot of people in the community feel that we should have asked the community what they would have wanted instead of the 7-day rental vouchers.

I agree with this point and am now asking everyone what they feel they should have received. You can either post your suggestion on this thread or email me (Drew@NeedforSpeed). At the end of next week I'll collect all the suggestions and pass them to the team for their consideration.

t3 car of my own choice and 1 extra car slot please

Well someone mention this in the other thread, but i simply can't find it, what about give Starter Pack users, the right to get 1st hand all the content that gets released in NFSW, 1 or 2 weeks before it is available to the other players?

This would actually compensate the level cap removal, and I'm sure everyone would be please with it. Not only that but i think its only fair, and would end all this whining.

So, lets address the remediation options posted.

A free car.
I'm not sure about everyone else but I got a free car when I bought the starter pack. It was not great so now ppl want another free (T2-T3) car. Would that free car be available to all that buy starter packs going forward? So they would get 2 free cars? If they don't get the higher tier car do you think they would raise hell about it with EA? If they give a higher tier car with every starter pack that will then cause a game balance issue right? I'm not sure this is a good idea.

We already got that too right? Some want more? Like a VVIP sticker?

Garage Space.
I think this is probably best but it may be a nightmare for EA to keep up with each players available garage space. Not that it can't be done but may cause some more development to allow for different garage amounts. I doubt EA would do that. More garage space for all would be fine with me.

More vinyl layers/objects
See issue above with different garage limits.

Rentals
I think we all know that no one except EA likes this one. Like others, I don't have the garage space for one.

Coupon for $20 off HP.
Personally this is the worst of all because I'm not the least bit interested in a coupon. That will be wasted with me. Also, with the ppl that are so insulted with the current events would they really give EA more money for the next set of promises known as HP?

Here again we got 8000 in boost with the starter pack. Sorry some ppl don't want to use it but that is really their problem. I used mine for amplifiers and garage space. I have since bought more for amps and pursuit related powerups. I won't complain about more but either it is twice the agreed amount for those that use it or useless to those that don't. <shrugs>

Did I miss anything?

I always thought the level cap was a bad idea so it's removal really doesn't bother me. However, it would have been best to get all this resolved before release.

Since the starter pack is still for sale is that for people that want to donate money to EA?

Yea I believe the 1 week or 2 week advance on new content for starter pack customers would be nice that is if the system would enable such a thing

If not I believe some in game cash(at least a mil) and at least a free car would justify it for me

O and I rather like the symbol idea, seems like I've missed it earlier on.
It might not be of any value, but it does show we did something others didn't.

My 2 cents ,

- a voucher for any permanent (NO RENTALS) t-3 or t-4 car of the players choice that is good for the life of the game or a speciality car or cars of t-4 caliber that is fully upgraded and cannot be aquired in game.

- extra car slots that are only for the people that paid for the game.

These items have to also be available to all three potential profiles that each player has , not just one of the three.

I love how you think you are doing us all a favour by giving us so much in the Starter Pack. We purchased it and we knew what we were buying it for... the EXCLUSIVE LVL CAP OF 50
You take that away and all we have is the game like anyone else but we are 18EU out of pocket.
I also believed you did this change due to all the QQers crying about the game not being fully free, and you gladly granted their wishes, disregarding all those who actually wanted to play the game past the lvl cap and didn't mind purchasing it.
So, you want to give us a go at some Rental Cars as "compensation"..... not interested... at all. I'd prefer my money back instead of that or anything else virtual you had in mind.
Just like the EA support I had to deal with recently was absolutely appalling, so are your excuses for this rediculous change and I've pretty much had enough of EA. You need to work out what 'exclusive' means in your advertising... should mean that the Exclusive level cap to 50 is actually exclusive to those who purchase the Starter Pack, not really meaning that we'll sell it to the ones that want to buy it and take it away once you have made enough of a profit.

all EA has to do is re word the starter pack and then they dont have to include 2 free cars from this date onwards just give the free tier 1 car of there choice not a pre set car, EA will have to re design the starter pack anyway cos there is no level cap anymore so they cant use that as a selling point

Hey, thats a thought. How about all the starter pack ppl get NFSW T-Shirt from EA? A logistical nightmare but that would be cool.

Are you always so arrogant? Srysly Freeloaders? That is called discrimination, did you know that, and it is an offensive word, if you wanna prove your point start by not attacking other ppl, so that you don't look like a arrogant Pri**.

1) an exclusive free T3 & T4 car for everybody who bought the starterpack.
2) a bundle of the most used Power Ups.

I think this will undo some damage you have done to the paying customers.

No he's not, we, the people, stated the things in his little story are worth nothing. And yet again we get the same talk over and over again.

This little thing over and over again, we gave our arguments why it's plain *. What is the sole reason to post it over and over again? Did you actually read anything we brought into the subject, did you actually care, do you actually care? Etc etc..
