this is basically what i would LOVE to see implemented in the ps3 and xbox360 version of the game:

1)A updated roster please. Tennis games always feature the most outdated irrelevant players on their games, id love to see players like Verdasco, Del Potro or Davydenko in some tennis games. And for the legends, id love Agassi.

2)A visible difference in play when playing on different surfaces. Clay courts that actually slow the ball down with players that actually slip and slide around on. (Top spin 3's sliding animation/mechanic occurs far too rarely) Top spin3 has the clay gradually visible on the player's clothes too, quite a nice touch.

3)Player strokes and grunts that actually resemble their real life counterparts! NBA games have hundreds of players an they can sorta get this right. but a tennis game with a roster of less than 50 can't get some backhands and forehands looking like their real life counterparts? Please this is a serious issue in tennis games. Nadal has to have his looping forehand and Federer needs his graceful backhand. Ive seen some videos however and the grunts in the Wii version of this game are quite consistent in their frequencies and similarity.

4)Please no diving! diving has no place in a tennis sim (seeing as this is what you're after EA, please remove it!)

5)Good court atmosphere. VT2009 tries to inject some of the tension and excitement of a real life tennis match into the game, seems promising. This may be a long shot but perhaps commentary? maybe? please?

That's basically all a die hard tennis fan like myself am asking for. PLease EA, I've got high hopes for this game. I truly wish that some of these points will catch your attention. I'm not too bothered about the graphics (as long as it'll be realistic and not cartoony like the Wii version), just as long as the controls are fluid and intuitive (i really do like top spin 3's controls, extremely rewarding albeit a little difficult to pick up initially)and the single player career is long and robust.

THANK U!

I like your ideas! I think that they should do a good job on graphics though. To me, gameplay definitely comes first, but there is also that extra drive to want to play the game if the graphics are amazing.

And you're definitely right, I don't think it would be too hard to record some of the grunts of tennis players!
