I watch the videos over and over and do exactly what it shows, but sometimes my person doesn't respond and I get in trouble from the trainer. When I lunge with the left leg it works, but not with the right. I'm having similar issues with several of the workouts. Could it be because I'm short?

You could be out of the Wii Sensor Bar's range. I'd check that first before I would assume it is the software.

If you are within the bar's range, then try pointing the controlers in the direction they are telling you in the video. For things like Toe Touches, I found that orientation is important, as one of my touches didn't register because the Wii Remote's lens wasn't facing down. I also had trouble registering running kick-ups for a while until I figured out it was trying to find how high and fast the Nunchuck was "bouncing," which it wasn't during the first runing kick-ups session yesterday.

I had a little trouble the first day, but did better day 2 and 3. It seemed like for me, I wasn't holding the pose long enough in each activity. I had a bit of trouble on day 1 with the "squats." I re-buckled the leg strap a bit higher on my leg, and then it was fine.

I think I had to get used to it. Again, much better day 2 and 3.

Good luck! Keep it going.

Had some Balance Board tennis today. And even though I suck at Tennis, the balance board didn't register my lunges until it was too late. Same thing goes for my swings for that exercise, so as far as the software is concern, I failed.

Same for the dance cool down.

I also found with the kick ups, you don't want to keep your knee down, you have to push it back a little bit during the kick up.

I just did the first day of the 30 day challenge.. I'm 5 ft 2 inches... and also had "response" issues until I figured out that the Nunchuck needed to be in the pocket face down and also - it was very sensitive to how I was holding the two controllers. Once I sorted that out - it worked great.

the only activity i have a real issue with is running. Running place I could be going like crazy or normal and it said i was too slow. I have started to run around the room (kind of annoying) for it to register. it works...

I am having the same problem. I am on day 3. The other exercises I have pretty much figured out how it reads the movement. But on the running I am running like heck and it says too slow.

I'm with you on the running. I've ended up doing a funny sort of running-dance around in a circle. It looks a bit like the "gotta pee" dance. I really need to figure out a better way to get it to register, in case I'm ever working out with another human in the room

Hey soonerryan, if you're having trouble with your right lunge, that makes me think there's something with how you're wearing the leg strap on your right leg or how you're placing the Nunchuk in the leg strap. Make sure you have the strap on your right leg. It needs to be positioned so when you go down into the right lunge, the pocket that fits the Nunchuk is right on top of your thigh.

If the Nunchuk is accidentally put in the leg strap pocked wrong, that can cause issues too. So check that the Nunchuk is tucked deep into the pocket. When you put it in the pocket, it needs to be facing down. (The Z and the C buttons on the end of the Nunchuk need to be pointing down to the floor when you're standing normally. The Nunchuk should be lying on its side against your leg so the analog control stick is pointing to the right.) Look carefully at the videos and the pictures in the game and watch how the Nunchuk is placed.

I hope this helps!

I more have a delay issue. However, today I was having trouble with the wii mote during bicep curls and it turned out I wasnt rotating the controller the right way. Oddly enough this was the second set Iw as doing, the first went fine, I suppose it was because I didnt watch the how to video again.

It's really easy with Bicep Curls to accidentally hold the controls wrong. If you're having trouble, here are some tricks to help with that one:

1. At the bottom of the curl, check your hand positions. You should be holding the Wii Remote parallel to the floor in your right hand. The buttons should be facing up towards the ceiling. The Nunchuk should be in your left hand. Your fingers should be curled around the "curved bottom" part of the Nunchuk & the analog Control stick should be near your thumb.

2. When you curl up with your right arm, the Wii Remote will rotate so at the top of the curl the buttons will now be facing the floor. When you curl up with your left arm the Nunchuk the "curved bottom"will be flipped around and pointing at the ceiling.

3. The pace that the trainer goes at is a little slow for most people so this causes some confusion too. Watch the trainer in the Picture in Picture window carefully. The picture frame will flash blue when it's ready for you to do the next movement.

Good luck & keep Active!

I have struggled with issues with various exercises but am getting better. As someone noted, in some cases just the direction you are pointing the controller can make all the difference.

The only one I am still having issues with right now is the running. I can not really get it to register any consistency with my running.
