I bought my 360 at least one month after 360's came out. So it's up there in age. It's to the point that it'll freeze if I try and do anything but play a game. If I want to view demos, it'll freeze. If I want to search anything on the dashboard it'll either pause for a minute or freeze. I can still play games but I have to do it in a weird way. I have to turn my Xbox on, open the tray and then put the game in. Pretty much the game can't already be in the xbox or it'll freeze. This just started like two weeks ago to. I guess I feel stupid asking but a week ago Microsoft sent a message to me(and everyone i'm sure) saying they're doing an update on June 16th and that you won't be able to sign on for 24 hours. So i'm wondering if this is serious a Xbox problem and I need it fixed or if it's because Microsoft is going to do a major update soon. Thanks for reading and sorry if I sound retarded. I just need an answer.

It sounds like it's about to die, lol. Good that you can play games though.

That sucks. You might have to send it in. Or buy a new one

Yeah, I figured I might need a new one or send it in. I was just hoping it wouldn't lead to that. Thanks for your feedback guys.

If it plays games ok off of the disc, but accessing anything off of the HD freezes it up, perhaps try a different HD on it.

I'd look into sending it in - my mete's was f~cked so he went on the site and they arranged to collect it in a couple of days (or you can drop it at a post office to cut this - he's too lazy) and it was delivered back 12 days later, good as new.

I was amazed...
