Is it possible to turn off the music in the game but still have the trainer speaking? Because I have iPod speakers & would like to play my own music during workout but still hear the trainer.

Actually, that's exactly what I do. If you go into the audio settings, you can turn the music all the way down. And you will still be able to hear the trainer within the game as well as the sound effects.
