Hey guys,
Every time I try to create an account on the Sims 3 website I put my details in correctly then press enter, and it just reloads back to the details page again. I have tried it on many different web browsers but none of them seem to work. Can anyone help?

I also just tried to report it and send an e-mail to EA, but every time I put my username and password in, its saying they are wrong, even though they most definitely ARE correct...

Just to let you all know, I have fixed it. For anyone else who has the same problem, I had Norton anti Virus on, and once I disabled it, it worked straight away!

Hi agroovyfroggie,
If you are still having problems try it again from another browser. Let us know if that works.

I can't find a solution to this problem anywhere on the internet... Have people just given up?
My problem is similar but when I fill in the create an account page it takes me to EA Account Authorization page because the email has already registered an Account. It asks for my password - which is 100% correct - I have checked it multiple times, even changed the password on the EA account. I can log into EA websites, just not the Sims 3. Really frustrated atm because I cant download anything for it and the EA support emails I've been receiving have gotten no where so far..
I have checked in different browsers, I have cleared all internet data (cookies, cache etc), I have even disabled all firewalls/antiviruses ..
Really would like to see this problem solved

Hi wyrwich,
So if i understand you correctly, you are able to access the The Sims 3 boards and website, but once you are there you are unable to login because it says your account is already in use, or is incorrect?
If this is the case, please PM me any and all usernames and logins that might be associated with The Sims or other EA accounts. It may be as simple as having to link the accounts together on our end, and I can do that for you. Also, if you have a ticket number from support it might be helpful to reference that too.
Please include a link to this thread in the PM as well. I deal with a lot of cases and it will help me keep everything straight.

I'm having the same problem but I don't have Norton anti virus, so I don't know what to do!

I have a very similar problem to this one.
When I bought the game, legally from my local branch of 'Game' I unwrapped installed and followed the links the game gave me to create an account for the sims 3 store. I was able to use this for a few days and was able to download some free items but soon I encountered problems. There was no way I could claim my free simpoints that were advertised on the game when I bought it, not being one to grumble I let this pass as the free town was all I really wanted. However, on the fourth day I was completely unable to log into my account, I was redirected to a page asking me to re-register my game, unsurprisingly when I attempted to put the game code in again I was told that this code was already in use or was invalid. I have tried deleting cookies, using different browsers, even different computers, dissabling internet security also did not help at all.
I am able to log in here and post about this problem from the same account I created to access the store so there is, I am sure, no problem with my log in details, but that the situation needs to be handled by EA staff.
I have dealt with this for weeks upon weeks and waited patiently for a solution as I know I am not the only one experiencing these 'errors'. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed, this is a service people are paying money into on a daily basis, it should at the very least be a documented issue and be compensated for if people have paid money in that they can now no longer make use of. I can only thank luck that I wasn't one of them.
Any response on this would be greatly appreciated.

@tammah and @powergannon: I sent you both PMs on this issue. Hopefully we can get your Sims login issues corrected ASAP.
Thanks!

I've been having some issues with the sims3.com site. I've had the game and its been registered, Ive downloaded, used chats etc, but it randomly signed me out, and wont allow me to sign in online or through the launcher. I am able to log in if I go through the store, I tried cause I had some simpoints left to spend.. but I also noticed that if I visit my page it gives me the option to add myself as a friend. Is there anything I can do to be able to use the whole site, and upload my sims, etc.? Even though I can spend the points, im not actually logged in.. it eventually asks me too, but I can't

BruisedUpDollie,
The issue you describe could be caused by a couple of different things.
First of all, it could be a connection issue. Try disabling any firewall / anti-virus software on your computer (it might be a good idea to close any programs you have running in the background through task manager). Take a look at these issues on troubleshooting connections:
http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8696
Post back here if you are still having problems and I will check a couple of things on our end and make sure that everything is ok with your account entitlements.
Thanks!

In the couple days I waited(i wanted to give you guys time to see my post here)it fixed! The sims 3 site is now working for me. I was able to log in today. This happened to me before, right when the site was just released.. it took about a month that time. Maybe the site just dislikes me for some reason. No issues as of now though, Thanks so much!

Hello,
I am not able to log in on the Sims 3 site! I'm using the correct email and password, but I get a message saying "the information is invalid". I searched my username, and I my account still exists...
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
