I've discovered BF2 1.50 Linux servers have what could be a major issue and surely it is for me! As we run Ranked AIXS Coop servers at GameServers.com and they run on Linux.
Linux servers running the 1.5 patch can no longer run coop maps in 32 or 64 player sizes. I'm using the latest BF2CC and I've set the maps from 2 PC's. I've checked the "profile" files and they are actually set correctly in the files. Any BF2 mod (BF2, SF, AIX, Pro, etc) when set to coop mode will not allow maps to run in any other map size other than 16 player, regaurdless.
I host my own Windows based 1.50 servers and they have no such issues.
This will be a great blow to the BF2 Coop Community, as most rented coop servers are running the linux version of the BF2 Server. Testing seems to indicate the 1.50 Linux Server to be the culprit.
The Coop and Mod's communiity makes up a giant portion of the overall BF2 community and they will be impacted greatly! This issue really needs to be fixed ASAP for our sakes! This really needs to be fixed like yesterday!

After submitting a trouble ticket at Gameservers.com (they suck) this is the cop-out BS answer they gave me on the linux server problem (16 player maps only).
Vaughn,
<<I've confirmed the profiles are actually save the maps configured as 64 player, and that's it's the server that's ignoreing the map size settings!>>
This value is hard coded into the game. This is particularly true for the default game modes. I know typically this is possible with mods like AIX however there were some major changes done to the bf2 dedicated server software which may be affecting your ability to change the map sizes when running aix. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can suggest at this time besides seek support on the aix2 forums.

Mr. Telefsen is full of it! as I know for a fact, EA has not restricted any coop mode mods to just 16 players!

I've now confirmed it's not just the Linux Servers but all the 1.50 servers can no longer run maps sizes larger than 16. This is not the player count but the maps sizes! I can run any of these server with as many as 64 total players, I just can't load the 32 and 64 player maps sizes!
I've also confirmed that this effects all coop mode games and mods including BF2, Special Forces, AIX and anything else running coop, even if they have and support larger maps!
I've also rolled back my private servers to the 1.41 patch and reconfirmed this to be a real issue!
You can still select any size map in coop mode in the BF2CC, but immediatly after appying a profile the running maps in the maps list, all maps in maps control panel revert to and show 16 player size, and this did not happen on any of the 1.41 servers! When I use BF2CC and I select retreive available profiles from the deamon, the CC populates the current maps list with the correct maps sizes I previouly selected but still runs all maps in 16 player sizes. This indicates to me the BF2CC and the deamon are both saving the correct map size data and that the server itself is ignoring the settings!
I'm half convinced that the Deamon may actually be to blame as well!

Well if this isen't fixed and fixed fast this will totally destroy the BF2 Coop community and many mods Like AIX! This will drive me to stop paying for my AIX/AIXS servers and drop the mod alltogether!
I can't even imagine how many people servers and mods will effected by this?
Thanks EA and GameServers.com your both screwing the entire B2f coop and BF2 coop mods communities!"
"AIXS Ranked" or not I won't continue paying for and supporting a BF2 AIXS Ranked Mod Server if you can no-longer play them with the 32 and 64 map versions!

Yes, I have to agree. WE have been playing the WCC Squad's Hard Justice for years now and love it. In many ways, its better than the OEM Battlefield. But now... ONLY 16 player maps. On both my dedicated servers (Windows). At least now I know it isn't just me... there are quite a few of us who aren't at all happy with this junk.
And here I was loving the new 1.5 patch... until about 3 hours ago trying to get this to work....

Tuck, I'm not 100% sure but I believe all u should do is install patch 1.41 to get rid off this issue. (And afterwards, ofcourse, patch 1.5).
