hey guys iv been playing tw since the first one came out and this year is rediculous!!!! how can one score a -30 r u kidding me lol...come on guys stop cheesing and if ur going to cheat share with the rest of us who spent there hard earned money on this game cause the best part about tw was going online now i rather play mlb the show and that sucks online lol.

go online and order a hori ps3 controller. thats what all these people shooting the -30's use bro. it doesn't help their game at all....[\sarcasm]

It makes the analog stick less sensitive, allowing good players to hit nearly straight shots 99% of the time, and as a result you can tune your clubs to allow maximum power, workability, etc. without worrying about shanking all the time.

They do not remove your ability to shank! If you can't work the stick up and down to begin with then you will shank all the time, even with a 3rd party controller.

people who use hori controllers are not really good. its flat out cheating. use a original ps3 controller and see if you shoot -30. you wont. hori's should be banned for online play

Sorry but I disagree - players that use any str8 shooting controller and fire -30 are, infact, very good at reading and playing this game. Agreed, a str8 shooter helps immensely but there are other factors that go with shooting ultra low scores. It isn't 'cheating' because the game allows for it - it is simply a different way to play the game. The problem lies with stock controller users wanting to play against other stock users on a level and fair playing field. Live tournaments and online P2P play is pretty much a no go area if you want to compare your skill level fairly. The only way is to create a network of stock controller friends and play against them. It would be fantastic if EA could ever separate the two and then these types of accusatory threads would finally be consigned to the dustbin.

Thanks for the defense K3, even if it hurt a little. My best round with a hori through 9 this year is an 18, and my best with a sixaxis is a 20. I only used the sixaxis for a week as well. If you know how to play the game, you can play...all there is to it.

i use an aftermarket controller but i will play you with my six-axis if you want...i broke my 6-axis playing call of duty but im in the process of getting one...hit me up and i'll show u that u can still play good with a six-axis

Absolutely, if you tune your clubs correctly, drive the ball to the right spot of the fairway and know how your approach shots react on different settings then shooting a low score is more than easily achieveable. It isn't all about distance, atleast not on the majority of courses. As ccc & Tro say - if you can play this game then you can play it. The only criticism I have over 3rd party controllers is that anyone using one can almost completely rule out a shank or a visit to OB - which in competitive online play detracts from the very essence of the game.

Who the F would want to shoot -30 every round. Boring ! I like the fact that I do screw up a round here and there. Yeah, I can shoot my shares of low 50's at times. But then out of no where I shank shots, miss putts, and shoot a normal score. I don't even attempt to play in tournatments online. I have a life and don't feel like spending hours and hours more a day trying to shoot 30 under.

I hear ya! I have competed in under 10 live tourneys this year. I dont care for them because whoever has the most time on there hands will usually put up the best score. I can score up in the top, but I dont put that much effort into trying to put up a -30 or better. Its the biggest weakness in the TW series in my opinion. I have only competed online since '08 though.
