Double Fine has already stated in the past that their goal is to make each game they produce as vastly different from the previous one as possible. Granted, there's a chance they might do a sequel for Brutal Legend at some point if the demand for it is high enough, but for now, I would expect them to stick to their mission statement.

The fact that they make each game different from the last is why I think Psychonauts 2 is going to happen. The first ended in something of a cliffhanger, and, to be fair, a game different from Psychonauts? Brutal Legend! A game different from Brutal Legend? Psychonauts 2! But if Double Fine makes Brutal Legend 2 after Psychonauts 2, I might start to question my faith in Tim Schafer...

I agree they need to continue that cliffhanger. I wish they could make a handheld game. I enjoy games that i can take around with me everywhere i go. Imagine that. However i want a Second Psychonauts even more!

I hoping that they would make a segual to Psychonauts (Or pregual or a complete new story).. I love that game! One of the best platformers i've ever played.

Probably something new. I would like to see Double-Fine make a Monkey Island game in the style of Psychonauts or Brutal Legend. Hopefully they will make something different and to allow time to properly plan a sequel instead of making the same game with only minor improvements.

What about going back to the good old Grim Fandango days.

That was with Lucas Arts, I wish I could play it though.

As good and as much success Brutal Legend has had they will stick with BL2 most likely, make the most money to anyway.

Grim sequel? No thank you. The ending to that game wrapped everything up perfectly. There's nothing more to be said. It was an incredible game, but it should not have a sequel. Some masterpieces should remain untouched. Having said that, a rerelease with higher resolution backgrounds and characters would be nice - the art style is excellent and it wouldn't need much upgrading even considering it's age, but it would be cool.

A new game would be cool, but I'd like story related DLC for Brutal Legend before that happens. Kinda like how GTA has the episodes on 360.

I think its pretty much impossible to guess what hes gonna do next do to the fact that all his games topics have been so ridiculous and out there that Brutal Legend is probably the most down-to-earth game I think he's ever developed. If someone were to guess correctly they would either have to have an inside source or be as completely bat-$h!t-crazy as Schafer is.

my answer: process of elimination.

what games hasnt he done?

brutal legend: free-world/RTS hybrid type thing.

psychonaughts: action platformer

only two games of his i know i can classify, what was grim fandingo or full throttle or day of the tentecle?
