You will also need to download the 06 lib creator to add your own assets. It's been awhile but I believe the 06CA and 06 lib creator were not included with TW06 and were a separate download, but they can both be found at the site link I gave you.

You may be correct sir, but what I heard from an EA rep during a game was that, they are working on something that "ANYONE" could use.. Now, If the 06CA was a version that ANYONE could use, then I have no worries and it will probably be good... As I felt the 06 CA was challenging somewhat ... But, yes, it did extremely well.
I guess the ANYONE statement reminded me of something they once had, I think it was called Tiger Proofing or something like that...
I guess we will have to see.. But with what they're using now, I would be stoked.. I love the way they can make running water for streams and rivers like on Celtic Manor....
Indeed bro, we will just have to wait and see. I'm thinking it will be a dumbed down version as I have the trial version now, and I think for the full version of unity is 1,200.00 lol, if I'm not mistaken.
The running water in the stream beds sounds cool, I haven't played Celtic yet.... I'm a bum..lol

To me, the architect seems like the best chance for this game to survive long term, as sooner or later the option of playing the limited number of EA designed courses, along with a lack of a level playing field for all competitors will kill the game off. Traditionally, in the other TW versions and from its former competitors (links, Jack Nicklaus), the best courses were made by the community. time will tell what happens to this ea online platform, as their policy of nickel and diming players on greens fees, shot abilities etc, is discouraging. They have left the door open for another golf sim to come in and steal their thunder.

I am beginning to think this is a mute point, the game is not worth spending the hours and weeks to develop a course to have playability and physics issues that are out of the designers control. I think some of the designers I know already see this and have left the game. There will be new designers, and maybe some will be great designers but I really don't want to design for a fantasy game.

I totally agree with you there axe. This game is basically a arcade game mainly targeted at the play for free crowd. It also has so many bugs that I really can't see spending hours, weeks, months, designing a course for this game. I myself use to love to design courses for the older TW games, but I can't imagine with the state this game is in now, spending that much time designing a course for it. Don't get me wrong, I would love designing again, but this game needs to improve alot before even considering it.

It's sad... designing for TW 03-08 was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. I always dreaded the day that it would come to an end. Although there are alternatives out there, it seems as if that time has come. If anything changes, I'll be one of the first ones to jump back through the door, but it just does not look good right now. Greg started this thread and it has gone months and months and months without any update. What is going on, Greg? Is this still a possibility? Are you completely ignoring us? All we want is some news, good or bad!

Silence is a good thing at times...... Why say one thing at a certain time, then change and do another and turn around and get slammed.. For a good thing..

cem_ea_id.Munroco wrote:The designers on 08 in the main are looking to design real courses or fantasy couses that look like real ones. TWonline is not an attractive proposition. I'm sure most of them could do a better job on the courses that EA has managed so far (sadly that isn't much of a challenge), but who would want to make courses for a kiddies arcade game. Lets face it EA have no intention of releasing a course design programme for this, its just another cyber carrot dangled in front of the diminishing number of the TW golf series lovers to try to get them to subcribe.
Time to give up on this , EA has
However, I see through different lenses..
