Imagine Afghani people who have lost friends and family members at the hands of Coalition Forces. How would they feel, that in this video game "Taliban" was scratched as a team name, but the team name for Coalition forces remains unchanged? Why do only US, British, etc.
friends and families of fallen soldiers [have] earned the right to be listened to
? Have those of Taliban combatants not contacted you and
expressed concern over the inclusion of the Tier 1 forces in the multiplayer portion of our game
?

But I guess this step was only taken to avoid selling less due to unfavourable PR. Glorifying war is disgusting. Glorifying only the parts of war fit to be sold is even more sick:
[Tier 1 soldiers] are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence.

So, where is the difference to "Taliban" combatants now? Which one has more right to be represented in the team names?

I've had ENOUGH of these ****** threads.

The opposing force is the official name now and WILL NEVER BE CHANGED.

Stop making these useless topics.

So you think that the families of men who butcher little girls for going to school have the right to say who is included in a game??

Most people in Afghanistan won't even care as they don't have computers or the internet!

EA aren't glorifying the war. They are telling the story of soldiers who have served over there. If you think that is glorifying, that is your opinion. The name was changed out of respect for the families of the fallen and those stilling serving. Get used to it.

And for your first post, it is kind of silly...

Me LMAO, too. You misunderstood my intention. I don't care what the team names are, or about playing this game at all.
Just some food for thought, about how one-sided the "morals" and "decency" of this decision is in. Why do people from the one side have the right to decide the naming? And if so, how many dead relatives does it take? Because I'm pretty sure that the counting contest, the Afghani people would win
Yeah, countering madness with cynicism is not pretty.

So sympathetic to the talibastards but you so convieniently forget to mention the 3000+ encounting poor unsuspecting souls that have burned & lost at the hands of the same Islam extremists in which your precious taliban still to this day choose to aid, harbor,& protect from being brought to justice for their crimes against humanity which is the whole reason U.S forces were deployed to Afghanistan if the 1st place. So please, save your precious tears for your rock throwing friends.

You still misunderstand. Where exactly did I justify Taliban crimes?
