Any decent Nadal gets to everything so i was wondering if people have come up with any strategies, the only thing i came up with is drop shot him so he has to play the net and his speed gets negated at the net or hope the other guy disconnects randomly.

There is no single strategy that will beat every Nadal online. Everyone has their own playing style. Close Thread.

The main advantage "Nadals" have is speed. You will not beat any good Nadal player from the baseline because they will run down every ball you hit at them. Like you, I have found it helpful to bring them to the net as well because it helps diminish their speed advantage and level the playing field a bit. Serve & volley is the only other thing I might suggest, but Nadal is capable of running most of those down also.

I beat him all the time.

I use a 5 star created player All-Courter equipped with gold Hustle, gold Speed, and gold Fitness;
speed boost shoes and the forehand topspin racket

Maybe lob and hog works? (lob+run to net)

If any player gets to all of your shots, then you are playing right into his hands and he can read you like a book.

Try to use your head more is the only advice I could give.

There is no extra magic about any player online, its all in your head.

The point of this thread was to find a good way to beat a good Nadal online... without Nadal. You just did something like Nadal. =)

My point (and I supossed the thread's point) is to beat Nadal without Nadal's style (return back almost every ball). If you set your player as a 'mini-Nadal', you'll prolly have more chances to beat him... but with his 'system'.

I just beaten a tough Nadal (more or less #150) with MaSha... but almost doing the perfect match: every ball down the line, max power shots, played intelligent and so on. So... he is beatable but too expensive =)

I've beaten decent Nadals by just playing how I play. My created player does not have nadal-like abilities. You just have to be a versatile player to beat the best...Nadal or no Nadal.

I made this post over a month ago, I figured out Nadal and can beat him I just have to play a different kind of game against him than what I was accustomed to and if theyre real good hope for some unforced errors that go in my favor :p
