Go to http://help.easports.com

1. Select: Email Customer Support

2. Login with your EA Account

3. Choose platform, game and category:
Platform: PS3/360
Game: Madden NFL/Madden NFL 2010
Category: Registration/Product Activation

For Email or Chat: Please let us know that you purchased Madden NFL 10 and that the Online Franchise mode serial key was missing from the back of the booklet. We ask that you please include or have on hand the following information to expedite the process.

FOLLOW UP ,, I TALKED TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT ABOUT HAVING TO PAY A LICENSE FEE FOR AN EXTRA FRANCHISE FOR A USER AT HOME! THEY WILL NOT GIVE A CODE WITHOUT PAYMENT. I AM IN BUSINESS AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE NOT ONLY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE (FROM THE SUPERVISOR KELSEY) IT IS A BAD HORRIBLE IDEA TO CHARGE $10.00. PLEASE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS RIPOFF, ESPECIALLY SINCE I DO NOT FOR ONE CARE ABOUT THE WEBSITE TO MANIPULATE RATINGS. ALL I WANT TO DO IS TO PLAY THE FRANCHISE MODE WITH MY SONS!!

I WONDER IF THEY KNOW THE ECONOMY IS NOT DOING WELL AT THE MOMENT AND THAT THIS EXTRA EXPENSE IS TOUGH FOR THOSE WITH A COUPLE OF KIDS. ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY WANT AN EXTRAVAGANT $65.00 FOR THE GAME.BTW THERE IS NO MENTION OF THE THIS EXTRA LICENSING FEE MENTION ON THE BOX!

I totally agree! We're in a recession and they're adding additional fees!

That's correct. There is a code to use online franchise that is on the back of game instruction manuals. A select portion of the manuals don't have the code, so these are the steps to receive the code if it was missing from your manual.

I cannot believe u are charging more money for franchises. Wasn't 60 bucks enough plus my live account?

I would like a refund on the phone call to EA CS yesterday afternoon asking for the online franchise to be activated, seeing its now offer online here.

Wondered why I was on hold for ages, making sure they could get more money out of me for something that should be free!!!!!

Also if this activation code was supposed to be on the back of the manuals, as some aren't, in otherwords free, why is the online franchise on the Xbox360 marketplace priced at 800 points????

Agree about extra charges when the world is in a recession, talking about the stuff that you can buy from the Madden Shop within the game. This should be free. What you playing at EA? Filling your coffers by wringing more money out of people?

I bet this gets deleted so other like-minded gamers don't get to read this.

heres what i make of it all

firstly, i called up EA about midday, very helpful, sorted the problem no sweat, call lasted under 7 minutes.

now from what i can tell, its on marketplace so that people who buy copied or pirated versions of this game still have to pay EA to use their servers, as online franchise is all saved online.

I guess you can call it EA cutting "potential" losses.

This is gonna apply to people who buy the game 2nd hand aswell, which, although its annoying for people looking to save the pennies, i agree with it, seeing as buying second hand gives no money to EA, technically your using their severs for free.

yea i still have no idea what to do..how do i get to the point of them actually fixing this problem for me..cause i have no idea where to go an what to do..i tried and got nowhere..can someone help please?

Just emailed my request off. Hope the code comes soon, few friends on a forum are kicking off a franchise soon

go to the provided link and fill a report as shown. i think support doesnt work on weekends so expect an email on monday with eirther a code or more info reqed for them to send you one.

i got a email back,

saying that my account was active so i could now play, i went on my ps3 and i still need to enter a code, or pay,
