The Masters

Alright well I love Tiger woods 10, get that straight. I have been having a blast with this game and loving the new drama in the tournaments. There are some things in this game that bother me though and I really wanted to get it out in the open and see what people think. I have thought of some fixes for Tiger Woods 11 that could make the game more realistic and better....

- When your first start off your guy don't make him so bad!!! I can drive it farther than my created guy at first start it's so sad.

- First tournament you play is maybe the U.S. Amateur tournament or anywhere along those lines.

- When your playing in a tournament it feels like it's just you golfing with a bunch of people watching. I want to see my caddie giving me tips and after shot scenes, maybe putting my club in my bag or such. (Another thing is to add buy a bag in Pro Shop.) You could also hire a caddie, fire a caddie and all that non-sense. When you first start out you don't get an elite status caddie. Something around those borders.

- Adding on to what I said before, our golfer shouldn't be playing by himself. Next year they should make it a OPTION (keyword) for us to be able to play with a partner. You can turn it on or off when starting career.

- When I hit a pitch or anything onto the green and you friend/partner/whoever is playing with you is up don't make my ball have a marker on the green already. Did I just sprint up there and mark my ball? Hope not.

- These way you gain stats have to go. Just cause your golfer has a bad round/tournament doesn't mean his whole entire career earning stats should go down. Tiger does terrible in British Open but is still an amazing golfer....get the point?

- Lets try and add the Masters Tournament with Augusta National Golf Club!!! I can't even imagine my guy putting on that green jacket!!!

- If your the last group on Championship Sunday to win the Open with just one putt, lets celebrate a little when that happens....maybe a little shaky putting grid.

- More slacks this year and more vests. Also have more rain gear, rain jacket and pants....Yeah i know they have them but there not so good looking.

- Also don't have your main slogan for your game be "FEEL THE DRAMA" when all the drama is just crowds cheering. Yes thats cool and a step up but lets add people on the other holes while were playing a hole and maybe some tents or other kind of atmosphere on the course. I went to the PGA tour championship at Hazeltine this year and there was something going on everywhere. (Plus I was on the 18th hole grandstand on the Championship Sunday when Yang made that unbelievable shot :o )

- Also for the LOVE OF GOD when I am in the woods and trying to punch out don't put people directly in front of me, gah I get so pissed cause of that.

Seriously though, caddies and a playing partner in offline tournament play would add so much realism.

1. A career mode similar to the one in madden, where you start out in q school and have to work your way up the ladder.
2. Caddies

4. Shafting clubs individually, nothings worse than having a voodoo on your putter
5. Basically everything from the 04 game. bring back sponsorships, goofy celebration...

I agree with everything thats been said. They definitely need to put Augusta in their I think its ridiculous they havent already put it in. Also a thing ive been wanting is sponsors just like you said before. They give you an added sense of accomplishment and you belong to something, your guy just doesnt buy what ever he wants like a Ryan Moore. I also think caddies are a genious idea with the ability to fire and hire at will. Maybe a video clip when you win a major and it shows your character holding the trophy. Kelly Tihlmans voice gets a little boring after awhile. But otherwise I love the game and will continue to buy it no matter what happens.

You are welcome to try to convince Augusta National's Board of Directors to grant EA a licensing agreement to put the course in TW. EA has approached them numerous times and AN is NOT interested in the exposure nor the revenue that having the course in TW would bring.....

You have a better chance of having dinner with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny than every seeing Augusta and the Masters on any video golf game. Maybe when once all the old time farts pass then it will be considered. For now, just enjoy what we have. I am sure if Augusta was the next DLC course people would be complaining about what else we don't have.

I have always been a huge fan of this series. My biggest issue is the realism in the game. I just started a career on tiger 09 and won my first tournament by 4 strokes. In the real world this would not be the issue.I'd like to see the nationwide or hooters tour thrown in where you would spend the beginning of the game gettin your tour card. all the pros on tour are essentially of the same skill. It comes down to luck and clutch shots when their needed to win tournaments. maybe instead of a chasing tiger or tiger challenge it could be a get your green card challenge to compete in pga tour mode. have practices that truely enhace your skills. And i love the caddie idea. maybe instead of such an easy system with the zooming and putt preview lines you would have a caddie who leveled up as you played to make his knowledge more useful.

Also some visual problems i have. if your coming up 18 with the lead your going to be the last group. make it so the weather and lighting change as the round progresses. and if you win a tourney, youre presented with a trophy. also instead of round performance, bring back sponsorships. depending on your play, titleist may allow you unlimited access to their clubs and balls, but nike may not. have these earned clubs and skills earned through practive make your golfer who he or she is.

lastly, i would love to see the create a course make a return, where other players could rank your course, choose to download it and play it and user created tourneys.

i know this makes the game seem ultra realistic, but isnt that the point of a sports sim?

i agree with the caddie thing and the agusta thing but i think you should make the crouds more realistic and have something in your swing so if u swing bad you should chunk it or something have an amueture tourniment and have different tours like im in an amueture tour and you should be able to make your own courses like totally creating a course like having the decision for water,sand,etc

More thoughts on TW 11....

I really do not want a playing partner at all. It's bad enough when you are going through the challenges and you have to watch the other player hit their shot. I'm sorry, but I want to play the game or a few rounds and really don't want this killing more time. My current player is about to complete season #5 and the thought of going through these challenges again with a new player is killing me. Maybe that I am much better now it won't be as bad and I will get through them quicker.

I agree on the crowds. Move them the F out of the way when I am in the rough and have to hit a pitch shot. After a number of times hitting them with my ball, I wish we had the option to swing a club at them for costing us a shot or a tournament.

Finally, I can't say this enough as I have said it many times in this forum. I want to be able to play in a tournament (either 1 round or 4) with one of the players included in the game. TW would be much more fun if I can play as Tiger for a round with the pressure of a tournament and other players chasing me. A casual round with none of that is no fun. So far I have not really played much using Tiger even though I really want to. The most I will do is use Tiger against my created golfer in some kind of challenge.

Anyway, let's see what TW 11 brings us. If the courses are locked as the were with TW 10, I will not rush out to buy this. I will stick with 10 and enjoy playing a round on the coures that are all open. Being that this is released in the beginning of summer, I really don't want to kill HOURS trying to open up courses that I already paid for while the weather is beautiful outside. I always wonder why I never see someone complaining about penalty drops. This game has never dropped you in the the right places. Read the rules of golf, if you hit a ball in a lateral ware hazard, you have 5 options. Not just retee or drop by the hazard. The game doesn't even give you the choice of those 2 options. It just decides for you.

So has anyone noticed that the PS3 version of TGW2011 doesn't have any tree animations!!! The 360 version does. WTF!
Was it really impossible to put it in because of frame rate issues (that would be my guess) or was it just lazy!
I know it sounds petty but I own both systems and I want the best version possible and I'm really get tired of the little things they cut out of the PS3 version to make the game run correctly!
For those of you that have both systems download the MafiaII demo for both and look at all the grass they took out of the PS3 version that is everywhere in the 360 version.
Why can't they be the same on both systems?

When you are creating a custom golfer, how in the blue blazes do you make them tan, darker skinned, black etc... ! i have messed with it and searched in all of the catagories but no luck. HELP!!

I complained last year how the create-a-player made my player look like a zombie. I much prefer the cartoonier tw10 and before create-a-players to the zombie-like tw11 ones. I spent a LOT of time tinkering with my guy, and at this point my guy wears sunglasses b/c his eyes still look creepy!
Just this weekend, I went back in to make him a little tanner, so good timing on the question!

(this is roughly how it was because I wasn't figuring I'd have to remember and I'm not at home to go check)
My guy looks Mediterranean looking, maybe Italian, maybe pale Italian.
Before: On the left graph it was either 75, 25 or 25, 75 (It's in the top&left quadrant) and on the right graph it was in the very bottom left 0,0.
I wanted to make him tanner, more dark skinned.
So I kept the left graph the same, either 75, 25 or 25, 75, and on the right graph, I kept the thing on the the very left, but moved it up to about the halfway bar. Now he looks a little tanner, and I'm happy enough.
I know this is a little confusing, let me know if you want me to get the exact coordinates tonight.
