Hey guys, we are going to use this thread as the catch all Chicago Bears roster and ratings discussion. Got a problem with a guy being rated too high or too low, this is the place to speak your mind, but please keep it clean. If there is a guy on your team that’s not in the game, feel free to post that in here as well.
When you bring your argument, make sure you bring stats and provide as much reasoning as possible. Rating s Czar Donny Moore will be stopping by this thread from time to time, so your voice will actually be heard by the guy in charge of making all of the roster and ratings decisions for Madden NFL 10. Make it worthwhile.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

copying in posting what eviltb303 said in the bears updates thread i made.
Olsen: After two games worth of action I can see him getting a bump up. He has been great! His route running is so fricken' crisp...I was really impressed after watching the tape after the game.
Dez Clark: Wow! I'm disappointed with his rating. The guy continues to show again and again that he can be as reliable as Olsen...definitely not as fast as Olsen, but he is still great. He's played way beyond his rating this preseason.
Bennett: He's looking better with his spped, route running and sure handedness. A point or two at least.
Payne: For the second game in a row, Kevin Payne has played really well! sure tackling, good reads, and range. He's quite a bit faster than his rating. See last week's game as a great example in addition to a couple of blitzes in tonights game.
id like to see hester get longer dreads to accurately portray him. romashodu should be put in the game. Going to make the roster and has played real well. Kellen Davis needs to be put on the roster. Omeyele is the starting LG now (spelled that wrong).

also, Adrian Peterson should be a lot faster then 80. 86 i think suits him very well. Just watch footage of him playing. hes faster then he is in this game.

How about updating Soldier Field to look like its real life counter-part. End zone scoreboards are way different from real life.

add Deven Aromashodu WR, should make the team, it looks as though Rashied Davis could be the odd man out.
though he sucks Brett Basanez should be addes. #3 QB
maybe take out Dusty Dvoracek since he's hurt for he year again and honestly sucks anyways.
I would make Greg Olsen better, maybe like a 84. Earl Bennett's speed needs to be raised. I would raise Chris Williams a few spots. Al Afalava could be starting at SS so bump him up a little, and hes having a great training camp.
and Add Roderick Hood to the roster since we just signed him
I think for next years game madden needs a IR List and or a practice squad roster, make things easier to have more players and you can change guys back and forth as you see fit instead of taking one guy and then taking one guy out, and just taking a go out of the game cuz he's the odd man out. Just an idea guys.

As someone else said, Basanez should be the 3rd string QB. Not really sure why there are only 2 QBs on the Bears roster.
Tinoisamoa should have a higher rating, he had 104 total tackles last year while playing for the rams. Lance Briggs by comparison had 110 total tackles last year. So far this year in the preseason he's looked great and has 10 tackles in 3 games playing on the first string, so only about half the time. Right now he's rated at 71?! He should be in the 80's at least.

One thing that I think is Extremely underated on the BEARS is Lovie Smiths Coaching Rating........A 71? really, I understand that Lovie only went to the Big Bowl only once but Brad Childress shouldnt be a 79. Hesters floating chin strap and Kevin Jones only has half of a face.
Al Afalava could use a boost in stats due to his big play in the secondary. As a rookie he is giving Payne a run for his money. His Zone Coverage and his Pursuit, and awareness could go up.
Jarron Gilbert could use a boost in stats due to the release of Dusty he will be getting more playing time, he is a defensive sleeper.
Israel Odonije needs a Boost in stats he along with Harrison are key run stoppers to clog the middle in the 4-3 and 46 along side of Harris. Bears was ranked 5th in stopping the run, gotta respect that.
I personally dont think Aromashodu will make the 53, The person on the Bears people dont talk about because they dont know him is Kevin Malast, number 62, the rookie from Rutgers leads the team in tackles and helps hold the lead on bears games while the first team is off of the field. This guy right here lays Hats on people, peep the game tapes all Bear fans should be impressed.
Thats it I think thanks...... Las Vegas in the House!!

Agree with most things previously stated.
olsen has played great in the preseason games, and has had a great camp.
frank omiyale is the starting left guard now (i think this may have already been fixed)
chris williams could use a boost. theres plenty of rookie linemen rated higher than him who were taken later in the draft
dez clark has looked good. maybe bump him up to 80
earl bennett has shown great poise and has had sure hands
devin aromashodu needs to be added
pisa tinoisamoa is really under rated in this game. he should at least be in the low to mid 80's
al afalava currently starting at strong safety
kevin payne starting at free safety
Dusty Dvoracek to the IR
Rod Hood was signed earlier today
Anthony Adams will start at nose tackle now.

Jay Cutler is currently rated the #6 QB in the league for the first 3 games of preseason.
Give the man a rating bump!

why is marcus harrison's potential not an A? it was said he was a first round talent for fell in draft due to character issues
why is devin hester's potential not an A? is he not smart enough to learn how to catch/run a route?

Would you please upgade Jay Cutler's speed on ps2? His speed is only 54! That ties him with Byron Leftwhich as the second slowest starting quarterback in the ps2 version. Everyone I talk to agrees with me that his speed is wrong. Guys who arn't even Bear fans agree that his speed is too low. His agility is underated, it's 52! Please upgrade his speed and agility. His awarness is too high (87). Lower his awarness and bump up his speed and agility so he can maintain the 87 overall, which I feel is fine. I'm not complaining about his overall of 87, just his speed of 54. Agility of 52 aswell. Remind you this is for the ps2 version, and yes there are people still online playing madden for ps2. On average over the past 3 weeks about 770 players at night. Thank you.

Matt Forte deserves at least a 92 Speed Rating and a 94 acceleration rating Because he is pretty fast and has break out speed.
Caleb Hanie deserves more then 45 overall at least in the low 60's.
Lance Briggs deserves more then 78 speed at least a 82.
Jaron Gilbert should be rated higher because he was suppose to be a 2nd round pick .
Jay Cutler deserves more throw on run and more speed like 75.
