Roster and Ratings Discussion: Atlanta Falcons

Hey guys, we are going to use this thread as the catch all Atlanta Falcons roster and ratings discussion. Got a problem with a guy being rated too high or too low, this is the place to speak your mind, but please keep it clean. If there is a guy on your team that’s not in the game, feel free to post that in here as well.

When you bring your argument, make sure you bring stats and provide as much reasoning as possible. Rating s Czar Donny Moore will be stopping by this thread from time to time, so your voice will actually be heard by the guy in charge of making all of the roster and ratings decisions for Madden NFL 10. Make it worthwhile.

The Falcons O-Line was one of the best in the biz last year and their rated as one of the worst in Madden??

Facts:
Matt Ryan was sacked only 16 times all season.
The Falcons had the 2nd ranked rushing offense in the NFL.

How is the average ratings for the Falcons around 76 or 75 for the O-Line. This definitely needs to be changed and made higher.

Also the Falcons today (9/1) released TE Ben Hartsock, CB Von Hutchins and DE Willie Evans.

Brent Grimes seems to be rated too low. He is a better player than his ratings show. Before he was hurt last season, he was a starter.

That's all we need is a 50 rated 2nd string CB...or first string depending on how Chris Houston plays.

Also, please add #36 FB Verron Haynes to the game. He might not make the final roster cut for the Falcons, but he would be a good addition for the game and some one will pick him up.

Another player that is seeing a ton of action for the Falcons is #14 WR Eric Weems.

Matt Ryan's Throw On The Run is way too low...He was great on running throws last year, he definitely showed that all throughout the season, especially in the Chicago Bears game last season where he had a ton of throw on the runs and completed everyone of them and had great velocity on the ball.

And his Awarness, I don't really know what to say to that but I think he showed great awarness last season, higher than a 78...

Grimes a 47 OV is a large oversite

Falcons are going to cut one more WR but it looks like Marty Booker is a shoe in.

I ment to say JPW as well. It looks like Shockley might be on the way out. He just hasn't proven himself yet.

I agree the Offensive line should be better, at the minimum the run blocking for all should be increased.
michael jenkins speed needs to be raised, he is not a burner but he is faster than 81 speed rating. the first play of the season last year showed he was faster than a 81

Would it be possible to tweak Turner's catching ability so that he can atleast catch a pass out of the backfield as well as a screen pass. Im not saying make him have hands like a reciever but atleast make it were he can make simple catches like that. Its really frustrating to see him drop a screen or a flat pass when he is wide open and standing still. I think he has like a 45 catch or something so maybe around the mid 50's if that is possible?

Other than that the only other big miss is the C McClure he has a OVR of 81 which is OK but his RBS is a 73!

McClure has been part of countless number one rushing teams in Atl, from the Vick days to today.

Lastly is LG Blalock His OVR is a 79. I'm saying that NO ONE on that line should be lower than a 81 OVR. Raise his awareness till he is a 81 at least.

To tell you the truth if you fix CB Grimes, C McClure and LG Blalock you will have Atl down cold.

Atlanta's underrated on Madden. Donny Moore can you fix this stuff, please.
