Hey guys, we are going to use this thread as the catch all Seattle Seahawks roster and ratings discussion. Got a problem with a guy being rated too high or too low, this is the place to speak your mind, but please keep it clean. If there is a guy on your team that’s not in the game, feel free to post that in here as well.
When you bring your argument, make sure you bring stats and provide as much reasoning as possible. Rating s Czar Donny Moore will be stopping by this thread from time to time, so your voice will actually be heard by the guy in charge of making all of the roster and ratings decisions for Madden NFL 10. Make it worthwhile.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Brandon Mebane needs a upgrade. The guy is only a 80. He should be a 85-87 at the least. He is a big guy but he can get after the Qb. Look at the cheifs game.. He sacked the Qb even when getting triple teamed.

Not sure if this is the right place but the default jerseys for home and away need to be changed. For home it should have blue jerseys with BLUE pants and for away it should have white jerseys with WHITE pants. I know you can change it when the game starts but it is kind of annoying to have to fix it every single game.
Also Ken Lucas jersey number should be switched to 31.
Deon Butler should have his rating higher. His catching more than anything needs to be rated higher. IMO I believe that his hands are his greatest attribute even more so than his blazing speed.

Totally. Please fix this. Obviously we can correct the jerseys, but it's a pain doing it for every game.

Obviously, TJ's speed shouldn't be 82.
If Donny Moore TRUELY thinks that he is that slow, just move him to the TE position and save me a receiver slot.
I watched the youtube video where they battled it out with TJ, and just because he hasn't had 50+ yard catch in 3 years doesn't mean he's not fast.
If Adrian Peterson doesn't break a 50 yard run this year, does that mean he's not fast? Of course not! It's probably the type of offense he is running, etc.
TJ is one of the elite receivers in the NFL, and the ONLY way this is shown is his catch rating? Please....

Oh yes, and please don't forget to add Edgerrin James to the roster, while removing TJ Duckett.
Also, why is Julius Jones so bad? He is not a bad running back, he just got traded a completely different offensive scheme.
You see his numbers in Dallas. 3 seasons, 1 season with 1000+ yards and his longest run was 77 yards. The other two seasons he had 800-900+ yard seasons, all while being the backup and 3rd down running back to Marion Barber.
So now he gets traded to Seattle, has one bad year where he is adjusting to the offense, and still manages 700 yards. His career is not declining at all, he is only in his 5th year, yet his speed is 84? His speed should be anywhere from 88 - 92
Julius Jones has been completely turned into a below par running back, because he switched from Dallas' high powered offense, to Seattle's injury riddled offense. This makes no sense, and should be fixed.

So you bash the champs and try and get EA to move up a team that finished like 4-12 and were only a few wins better than Detroit.. TJ's speed may be too high imo he is slow as dirt and now that he is playing with a horrible injury prone Qb he will have more things to worry about than his speed in a video game what an idiot..

I'm not telling EA, OMG my offensive line is horrible.
I'm asking for an adjustment for 2 players. An adjustment that is needed, and that everyone knows is needed. TJ is not slow as dirt. If he is slow, then how does Hines Ward have a speed rating of over 55? Exactly, neither of them are "slow".

Yeah. First time I looked at his speed rating I wanted to kill myself because it was the same as TJ, yet he still creates seperation.

No, not at all, not just thru his catch rating. But by his ability to get open (Awareness, Route Running), his ability to hang on to the ball anywhere (Catch in Traffic, Strength) as well as his catching. All of those things help TJ dominate in real life and in Madden 10. Use that guy on drags and ins over the middle and you can get first downs all day long.
How does his yards per catch fall every single year from 2004 on....2004 is was good at 13.4 yds per catch. Then it went down in 05, down in 06, down in 07, down in 08 tanking at 9.8 yds per catch. He has not recorded a SINGLE 50+ catch since that 2004 season. That is a LOT of football right there - crappy Ryan Fitzgerald was only the QB for 2008, Palmer there for much of everything else. You would almost think randomly, he would just be wide open and would get deep. Guess not. Guess, you are right. EVERY single deep pass in Cincinnati must have went to Chad Johnson. Because he certainly has gotten deep over the last 5 seasons (Ochocinco from 2002-07 had a 50+ yard catch EVERY single year), so its not so much a matter of the team and the system that TJ played in NOT throwing deep, more so that the Bengals certainly did not target TJ in any of those situations over the last 5 seasons. And of course all of this could be right be design, that TJ is not meant to go deep, which is why the Bengals employed him in such a way for his entire Bengal career.
