Hey guys, we are going to use this thread as the catch all Baltimore Ravens roster and ratings discussion. Got a problem with a guy being rated too high or too low, this is the place to speak your mind, but please keep it clean. If there is a guy on your team that’s not in the game, feel free to post that in here as well.
When you bring your argument, make sure you bring stats and provide as much reasoning as possible. Rating s Czar Donny Moore will be stopping by this thread from time to time, so your voice will actually be heard by the guy in charge of making all of the roster and ratings decisions for Madden NFL 10. Make it worthwhile.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Joe Flacco needs to be an 85. I believe in the preseason he has shown that he's ready to take the next step in becoming one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. Last game against the Panthers Flacco went 23/28 247yrds and 1td. He hasn't thrown a pick all preseason and has been making good decisions on his throws. I don't believe he should be rated higher then 85 because he has is not the same caliber as a jay cutler or Carson Palmer. I believe an 85 does him justice compared to his civilian 81.

Ray Rice also needs to go up. Hes shown great elusivness and quickness in the preseason. He was promoted as the starting running back this offseason and his burst and speed in the game are quite underrated. I tink Rice needs to be a 83-85 overall with at least 90 speed.
Foxworth and Fabian washington in my mind should be 83+ each since both have been stellar. They have completly shutdown opposing WRs with excellent man coverage. They too have had excellent offseasons, as Fabain put on about 5-10 pounds of muscle without compromising speed.
Flacco by far is the most underrated Raven. At 75 throw accuracy, he has the second worst throwing accuracy of any starting QB in the game. He has definitely shown that he has taken the next step with great decisions, accuracy, and a great offseason. I mean come on, he is much more accurate than the game suggests... Flacco needs to be anywhere from 84-86 in my biased opinion lol.

Giving Ray Rice 90 speed would, in my opinion, be a gross overestimation of his abilities. Just because someone is good doesn't automatically mean that they should have a high speed rating and vice versa. Rice is not fast. He is exceptionally quick and agile though. His ratings should be reflected as such.

ray rice should have high acc. his speed is straight, but his btk should be higher and his catching. he has excellent hands. also gaither and oher should be higher, the run game is what gets it done with this team, and off that we pass, so their pass blocking should be moderately good to great. mcgahee is not blazing but he is not dirt slow like they have him. le'ron mcclain is a beat in short yardage and that should be reflected in the game, he has good feet, great pad level and keeps the pile moving! in addition, antwan barnes, tavares gooden, jameel mcclain and paul kruger have been impressive this preseason!!

Please, for the next roster update, raise the Baltimore coaching bar to atleast 2.25 bars. John Harbaugh is NOT a 1 bar coach. He is (to my knowledge) the only coach to take his team to the Playoffs in his rookie year, and get them one step short of the playoffs. And he did all of this with a rookie QB, that says something.
Joe Flacco's rating needs to be mid to high 80's. It's obvious in their 3-0 preseason that Flacco is showing he is filling his shoes and succeeding expectations in the NFL.
Ray Rice also needs to be upgraded, he is showing similar like qualities.
Another issue I have is with Dawan Landry. Why is he so slow? EVERYONE else, including my Defensive Ends (not Ngata, he plays DT for me) have over 80 speed, yet my Strong Safety has 75. This makes no sense. Strong Safeties are defensive backs, not full backs.

Pretty much every single analyst who talks about Joe Flacco mentions that he has one of the best Deep Balls in the game. His Deep Acc needs to go up a good amount to show this. He has looked great this preseason, showing he can lead the team through the passing game and deserves to be boosted 2-3 points.
Ray Rice needs a small boost to elusiveness and spin and a medium boost to juke. I'm not sure why you guys have him as more of a power back. He is a shifty back who can run with some power.
Jared Gaither was on of the best Linemen on the team last year and one of the best Tackles in the league. Gaither gave up only two sacks and one additional QB Hit last year at the toughest OL position. Those numbers are even better when you consider that he went up against the Steelers and James Harrison 3x last year. He needs to be boosted to the 84-85 range at least. He is an absolute beast Run Blocker as well as Pass blocker and his only real problem so far is taking too many penalties.

Todd heap isn't faster than L.J Smith...
Sam Koch lead the NFL with punt's inside the 10 last year... add some KP
Landry's speed is horrible.. 82 at the worst..
Gaither needs a boost..
Harbaugh and the whole coaching staff needs one

Just something to consider when it comes to McGahee's speed:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2009/08/whos_faster_mcgahee_or_figurs.html
There's no doubt that McGahee, too, has had a great offseason. I say his speed needs to be higher as well.

Yeah, for sure on this one.
But I just use Peerman as my speed guy and McGahee as my 'Bradon Jacobs' guy. Works out quite nicely.

Jalen Parmele will make the team as the third RB over Cedric Peerman so make that change.
Add RG Brian Mattison
