Just keep trying.

I get:

"This CD-Key has already been claimed."

For BF1942 (as well as all the expansions) and BF:Vietnam. BF 2142 still says invalid username/password.

When initiating a EA support ticket, after completing I get the automated email from EA. Then upon returning to EA Support page to view Questions, the Questions are no longer visible....
Is this process mysterious like the patching of BF2142, where no instructions are given, but users are left to discover the successful process.... as a mini game. (bad joke, but it ain't Hot Coffee!) ^_^

Patching BF2142 is trial and error with each patch to find the magical process of which order of supposedly Full patches have to be installed in order for the game to work as intended. ;^)

In other words, when the EA Support Ticket is no longer visible, does that mean the user should retry the process that ended in "player name &/or password is not found"...

How does that definition go? Repeatedly trying the same thing, expecting different results.

I've booted my XP machine, so I can try the same veteran program page, to link my BF2142 name with a Windows browser, instead of my usual Firefox on a Mac. = SNAFU

I believe the EADM data is the issue. Especially considering the evolution of EA Downloader to EA Link & finally to EADM. The data was linked to different application names... oh well. I'll try tomorrow. When I'm feeling more crazy.

I was considering putting in xbox BF:MC (it's been years), just to play one game online, and use an alternative BF game than BF2142. grrrrr [looks for disk.... Found it!] LOL

+DANG IT! Guess which game is not backward compatible and who no longer has an xbox. Frak'n hell!

Try to write the CD-key with Caps Lock on. It worked for me.

After 30 minutes of saying cd-key has been already claimed, I put the keys in without using the number pad, both Vietnam and Rode to Rome worked on first try. Not sure why that would matter, maybe just a fluke.

Good idea. Register the game with EA directly. I still have the booklet with the code.
One BIG problem.... on the EA Register game page, BF:MC is not in the game list for xbox nor xbox 360... WTF!

Oh and on a side note. Why dosn't the Veteran website automatically show the original game as played if you put in a valid expansion code. Can't find the 1942 cd-key.

I changed my gamertag for xbox live and now I keep getting an error message when I try to register the new one so my Veterancy will work.

If "Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike and Battlefield Heroes Beta participation are detected automatically." and my Veteran page shows the NS icon of BF2142 expansion pack lit up.... Why the heck is BF2142 not lit up too?! How is that possible?? (unfinished web detection system? Went so far as to detect NS, but not BF2142, why?)

I've tried all my BF2142 soldier names and my login to EA master server name = error.
I even opened a EA Support Ticket. Besides the automated email response, what can I expect? EA Support Tickets are explained as well as BF2142 patches.

My most recent BF2142 installation process, after the initial straight full patch 1.50 produced modified content errors (typical of different version detection as joining a server SNAFU):
install BF2142+patch 1.40 full + NS+patch 1.40 full+patch 1.50 full. wheeew, done. Insane, right!

I can't get my Battlefield 1942 CD Key to work. I would really like that Assault rifle. i have all the other Find All Five Weapons. i suppose i shall try again when i get home.

and also, i know that it works, because i only reinstalled BF 1942 on my computer over the weekend just gone...

Any help is appreciated.

i still can't register my BF Vietnam key, it says it's already been claimed.

i could register BF2 without any problems.

yes i have the same problem with it not takeing my bf 1942,road to rome,secret,vietnam! also on stats it opos up then turns black blank.

the bf1942 key issue for me was resolved by using caps and not using the number pad, worked like a charm (as stated above)

for the bf2142 was resolved by typing in the user name in caps and password in lower case.
