Has there been a fix for this yet I having the same problem all my friends show logged out and the 5 of us who have been trying to get together can never connect via friend invite as it says i have no friends logged in.

Please help I was just about to purchase the full game but if i cant use this feature why bother it sucks playing alon all the time

For me it's a browser issue. I'm not saying it's the same for everyone.

For the last few weeks, not sure exact timescale, app 3/4 weeks. Nothing has shown up in "my gallery" using firefox 3.6.8.

Also the find golfers function hasn't worked either. As you can see in this pic, I get the "loading friends" but they never load just goes round and round




However, this evening, I tried switching it to opera 10.60 and voila ! they returned , along with the "find golfers" function also.

EA Dave said it is fixed with the new update.
Mine still don't work, but someone might be able to get their friends list to load.

Sporadically, I am able to accept Friend Requests but maybe only once a week. I try every day. It has been about 3 or 4 days since I was last able to do so.

However, I have not seen my friends list for weeks now and I am simply unable to find members. I am particularly keen to access my friends so as to reduce my total by 2.

Yeah Dunk...I think I may have confused people when I said friends was fixed. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I will try to elaborate. There are two issues here:

1. The friends list was showing up fine for most people, but the list was showing all their friends offline no matter what. This caused the invite system to malfunction, as the popup window would tell you that you couldn't invite any friends, as they were all offline.

That issue was fixed. For the people this affected, they now should be able to see their friends and invite them.

2. The other issue is the topic of this thread. This thread is for people who cannot ever get their friends list, etc. to load. They get the infinite load animation whenever they try to see notifications, or see their friends list. I believe the invite popup also infinite loads for them.

We still haven't figured out why you are experiencing this problem, but are trying to figure it out through data in this thread and others. Do the people with problems have more friends on their list than others that can see their list. Maybe friends numbers with these reports would be good. See if anyone with a large list can actually load their stuff. The friends system connects to EA SPORTS world, so we are working with them to solve this. I am truly sorry some of you have this issue. Please keep your info coming.

Well, Dave, I don't know exactly how many friends I have as my list doesn't even load.
And I still can't send invites. Which is probably because "friends" don't load to send invites.
All I can say is it all worked before TBMP was added.

Can you take a screenshot of your main page? I wonder what is going on with your friends list now that we've added all the Friends' Interface to the front page. Is the Online Friends area just blank?

I have EXACTLY the same issue as DUNKLBJ. My screenshots would all be like his.

I have 506 people watching my and 92 sponsoring me. My profile never loads when clicking on the "My Golfer" tab.
Also, recenty I'm unable to open the notifications tab to accept new friend requests.

I get to my profile by clicking on "groups" then my group, and then my golfer name which shows up in the top right corner where it lists "top member scores".
Clicking my name on that list loads my profile in a heartbeat, but the "my golfer" tab won't load it at all. ??

The only way I can play a TBMP game is if I set it up and let my friends find the game and join it. I cannot invite anyone in because friends list won't load.

This happens with both IE8 and Firefox.

I've brought this issue up numerous times, but with this thread I'll reiterate it here. (Hat tip to Mav for a link to the thread).

I havent been able to load my 'friends' list since well near the whole game went live. I couldnt even tell you how many friends I have. My guess is, thats a part of the problem.

As the "Caddyshack" Admin, Im probably 'friends' with thousands of folks at this point. When newbies join, play, chat, whatever. Problem with that however is Im convinced that the reason for the 'problems' Im having Is there are just to many on the list.

So # 1 --- Yes, I can NEVER EVER get my friends list to load. My guess is I havent been able to since beta. I litterally have no idea how many 'friends' I have on here. I'd love to thin the heard, but I can only do that by loading list... which I cant get to load at all. So you see the conundrum. I have moments when im highly irked about this (like now), but there's usually other problems that catches my ire... which is why I live with this. But I HATE this... why?

... because I am nearly convinced this is why I can NEVER EVER get the MP lobby to work AT ALL. Once in an blue eFn moon can I get it to come up. But 99.9% of the time the little 'wheel' keeps on spinning (even after all loading is done)... and NOTHING HAPPENS. So while this is an "ire catcher", Im convinced at this point the two are related, if if not directly.

Several dozen of the core guys at the Caddyshack have "thinned the heard" on their friends list and its made loading the MP lobby (a H U G E part of what we do at the Caddyshack) a much easier task. Not easy and flawless, unfortunately. But its helped many of them appreciably. Of course, the two may not be related at all... but at this point, im having a hard time buying that.

Since I cant get my 'friends' list to load to begin with, I cant tell you who's "logged on" or whom isnt. While I dont view this specific issue a deal breaker, I can see the frustration with something thats supposed to be functioning well with this... not. The home page of the sites new "list" of friends that are on is nice, and is a help. Im guessing by avoiding the "list" page all together your helping out. Because its a mess.

I cant tell you my exact numbers EA Dave, but I wouldnt be surprised if Ive got nearly as many 'friends' as almost anyone on here. And its been a pain in the backside since. If it worked properly, it'd probably be a godsend. But it aint. And its a problem.

I have the exact same issues Rec22 and Dunk have with dealing with the ancillary issues tied in with this.

It makes me want to quit and start over with no friends from scratch so I can just function at a reasonable level.

There are umpteen issues ive got with this game, but this is a real one ive had since BETA. Its clear im one of many as well... please figure this out.

Thanks guys. I'm glad we have screenshots, and that you all have the exact same problem. It should make tracking it down easier. This specific issue is why we started this thread. If anyone else sees this exact issue, where NOTHING is loading...please post and mention your friends number if you can.

Today I can view "my watch list" and "who is watching me". The friend's list did not give me the old "loading" continually, but instead went to this: This message has occurred before, but not very often.

All else is the same as before. Attempting a tbmp game and inviting someone in resulted in the "unable to open friends list at this time. (Dunk's 2nd to last screenie)
It's usually either or there.....the continual loading screen or that message.

I forgot to mention in my rambling response that I too cannot get Friends Request to load either.

Ever is a strong word, but 97% of the time it will not load. On occasion, late at night after the bursts I'll click on it... then come here to the forum while it loads and on occasion (rare occasion) it loads up.

I've had as many as 40 of the build up because I couldnt get them to load. Frustrating.

Again, I think all of this has to do with the #s involved. I remember in Beta the Caddyshack "group" had trouble coming up and loading simply because of our size.

As stated previously too... I'd LOVE to thin the heard, but I cant get the list to load to do so.

Any and all efforts to correct all these issues would be appreciated by everyone for sure... but especially me since I know its been an issue for me well before we went live, and it was rare if ever that it seems to be addressed.

I lost my friends list today AHHHH lost over 400 friend!
