Well then this is not the type of forum for them.

Of course we understand not everyone has the same opinion and we all open for people to have debates, but just keep the debate civil and don't throw things that is a TOS violation. Think of yourself like politicians debating a bill.

If PS3 released in Spring, it would probably be having reliability issues just like 360.

The place has cleaned up alot as is which is commendable but it seems like debates are going out the window because of this high sensitivity thing going on now. It's like everything and everyone has to be handled with kidgloves. But can you please explain what he said that was against the TOS? and why?

I think once this place is finally cleaned up, and people realize that insults dont always have to be used to get your point across in an argument, us mods will be able to loosen the reigns a little bit. However i think we can all agree things were just going from bad to worse on these brds, i dont think theres to much wiggle room available at this point in time, were finally getting things going in the right direction, wouldnt you all agree?

personally I think (and I know MY opinion doesn't mean much) that even tho things are getting cleaned up they may as well just turn this place into a question answer forum. No opinions, no debates just people post a question and a MOD or EA rep answers. Take away OFF TOPIC, GENERAL DISCUSSION and definately ONLINE. I understand your concern and we want to keep this community vocal input to the latest discussions. This what this forum is for.

But just as long as people don't start getting into wars with each other with inappropriate content for this forum, it will be good for everyone. That's all we ask and expect from the people here.

As for calling out cheese and cheating. I don't endorse it because what one may view as cheese others may consider fair play. Frankly, I don't believe in cheese and see it as a excuse but we have had this discussion before many times. Cheating also ties into this because the user could just be lying by being a sore loser, giving the victim of the call out a possible bad reputation that he doesn't deserve, and that goes the same with cheese.

The online forum is to be used as disscussion about setting up online events (i.e. tournments), games, friends, ect. Not to create a blacklist which can prove to be false. If you want to remove a player that you know has been playing outside the game rules therefore cheating, use the report system in the game.

Anyway, we are getting really off-topic here. Lets get back to what the orignal disscussion was about. If you want to disscus this more, shoot over a pm.

Sony first party is not having many problems trying to get games running at 1080p and 60fps. Why are 3rd parties? One word, dedication. They absolutely don't give a damn about it and will just do what they have to to bring the game over to a console without optimizing it for that specific machine.

Until these companies (Ubisoft, EA, etc) get their act together (as developers NOT publishers) then Playstation 3 owners won't see great 3rd party games. There are SOME very good 3rd party companies (mostly japanese) that are trying to push the Playstation 3's hardware whilst some will just not give a damn.

The only reason everyone wants madden is cause there the only game with NFL teams and players. i havent bought a football game since NFL 2k5. Madden sucked for years. I refuse to buy it unless its actually a good football game. I havent bought an Ea hockey game since 2002. 2k has dominated the hockey game market since 2k3. last years ea 360 version had lots of promise and if things are tweaked and improved I will go buy NHL 08 but if its less then 60fps I will buy 2k8 instead. There is no excuse for next gen games to be any less. then 60fps. NHL 2k7 was 60fps and you can bet it will also be 60fps this year. Im Not begin a fanboy for 2k but this is fact. If EA steps up to the plate this year which I hope they do cause I miss the EA feel. then they win my money.

well I really don't see much diff from 30 to 60 frames

now from 30 to 20 yes or 30 to 15 yes and 30-5 most definately

and my surveillance system supports 480 fps / 480 fps which I can choose which cameras to run at 30fps and others can run at 5fps just depends on how much space you want to use up... the road has to be 30 fps if you want to catch all cars going by but things like the hallway in the center of my house need only to be 5 fps since nothing really is in it and you are caught by all the other cameras before you enter it...

even in animation we dealt with 15-30fps... for the most part you won't notice... do you notice any lack of flow on your ps2 right now? no

I do notice some lack of flow on anything under 25 fps but it must be something moving rather fast....

Apparently the picture bandwidth has been exceeded. So if you can find the chance to check it out later, do so.

But the clip clearly shows the 60 fps going smoothly across the screen, while the 24 fps was skipping across the screen somewhat.

It's a night and day difference.

Also from what I understand, 24 fps is used in flim/videos anyway.

the video I showed/posted is REAL TIME no bs that pic is irrelevant since it just shows what might be... I have 07 and I'll have 08 and I will post videos of ACTUAL REAL TIME and I doubt you will think it's that big a deal...

the difference between 10 and 20 is a lot DIFFERENT than 50 and 60...even though the literal difference is 10fps on both ends, on the low end(10 and 20) you will notice more of a difference

You do know madden 07 360 is 30fps right? so nhl08 being in it's birth year on ps3 and being only 30fps is not a big deal...
