Slapshot...

just wondering do u as one of the mods have i guess any idea of when fans can expect an update.... say the beginning of October or something like that? If thats the case i know alot of people will be mad to have a game for a month and having to wait a month before all of the glitches are fixed... dont matter to me because im keeping the game either way i was just courious..

i set up my season in season mode, made trades and signed free agents to update my rosters as close to real life as possible. then i played all of day one's games (october 7) in season mode. everything was fine but when i click on october 8 the message appears. "would you like to simulate all non user games" then i click ok (since all the games are complete) and the white window around october 7 tries to move to october 8 but gets stuck in between october 7 and 8 whether i try it on the full calendar screen
or the team screen, so i cant get to the next day's set of games. i can go in and load it every time, save line changes or do any team activity i want but it will never go to the next day's games no matter what team i'm on . I have all the teams set as a user team, but no matter which team i try to proceed to the next day with. it gets stuck. Please help if anyone has had this happen to them yet!!!!!!!!

Alright, just got out of the meeting.. regarding the offline modes - be a gm, be a pro, season, etc.. this is what I can tell you: The developers are reading each of these sticky threads, they are well aware of all issues brought up.. and I was ensured this includes these Saskatchewan teams freezing during loading.. and there is an update planned - to deal with these issues.

I cannot give any specifics such as when it will be, but it won't be for a tiny little while.. as a patch takes 4-6 weeks to make, to test, and to be approved. EA won't announce it until they are well into production of the update.. so all I can offer is to keep the faith, and just hold on. They do appreciate your patience.

Hmmm.. I tried this and I have no problems. Is there a way you can capture it on video - you trying to get to October 8, and send me the clip in a PM?

I also have been having the same problems that all of you have. I also have returned my game 3 times to the store i got it from thinking it was a flaw in the disc. but still no worky.I have tried to use the Saskatoon Blades as I do live in saskatoon. this is really frusterating as this is what i have been waiting for for many years please hope they get this fixed as soon as possible. tired of this flaw by the designers

Is there a way to drop a player from your team in Season mode? Trying to pick someone up from free agency, but they keep rejecting my offers because my roster is full. Cannot figure out how to drop a player to free agency to free up the room. Any advice? Thanks!

Thought we'd be slick and try to trade two players for one to get an empty roster spot...didn't work cuz the other teams would've had too many players. Is it supposed to be this hard?? Didn't used to be

So this isn't going to help with the Fantasy Draft for WHL seasons (Which I really hope will be fixed in the early patches). But this will help with non-fantasy draft seasons. I'm sure most have figured this out already, but for those who haven't you can set the roster control to make it so computer doesn't control not human teams rosters. It should keep them from signing free agents. The big downside of course is that you can't trade players, but at least you can play a full season with the proper WHL teams.

Not really an issue, but:

- The tie-breaker in Elitserien is a 5min 4 on 4 OT and then a shootout (3 shooters), not a 5min 5 on 5 OT

Just wanted to post this for all the WHL season players out there, particularily the Saskatoon Blades fans/players. I'm playing a WHL as the Calgary Hitmen, and as documented here before, if you were to play either the Saskatoon Blades or the Swift Current Broncos, the game would freeze at the game loading screen, causing you to have to sim every game on the schedule you play against the Blades/Broncos. And if you choose to play as these teams in season mode, it wouldn't work at all. So I entered the playoffs, and beat the Red Deer rebels to advance to the semi-finals where I had to face the Saskatoon Blades. So instead of simming, I decided just for the hell of it to try to play it, and IT WORKED!! So was this issue fixed with some patch/tuner that I am unaware of, or is it just happenstance that you can play vs these teams in the playoffs?? Any help/comments would be much appreciated!

Its only in the reg season youcant play them. playoffs are fine forme to

The OTL point for an overtime or shootout loss are not recorded (I tried using the reverse) for any games played in the CHL (WHL, QMJHL or OHL) - it works fine however for NHL and AHL.

There is an issue with trading. I figured out how to fix it. I was 55 games into the season and havent seen one trade. You need to trade a player to another team, then it will work.
