There isn't going to be any ufc fighters kiss that dream good bye. Maybe we ould get luky and EA could lok down the WEC fighters, Zuffa owns them to but hopefully since they aren't in the UFC game maybe ea could get those guys. Urijah Fabar, Mike Brown, Miguel Torres, Donald cerrone, cub swanson, Jens Pulver, Jose Aldo, Manny Ganburiyan, Jamie varner to name a few. Get those guys for the light weight divisons then grab the strike fore and dream guys for the bigger divisons. Like fedor, Mark Hunt, Josh barnett, Jake sheilds, nick diaz, robbie lawler, scott smith, brett rodgers, Andrei arlovski, Tim Sylvia, Bobby lashley, bob sapp, they could put together a very solid lineup still worth buying without the UFC guys

I would try to get licensing from all the major non UFC promotions (StrikeForce, Dream, World Victory Road/Sengoku, Cage Rage). Get the top fighters from each and if not make sure that the CAF mode allows for plenty of custamization to allow us to create our favorite fighters. Please don't drop the ball like the UFC/THQ game did with their pathetic lack of modes available for the roster fighters and their shallow and weak CAF mode. Review other games that are excellant but do not have official endorsement (Fire Pro Wrestling) or have incredible options (King of Colosseum I or II) to see where I'm heading with this.
Good luck

this games going to be exactly like the difference from skate and tony hawk
tony hawk had all the big name pros.
but skate was so nuts no one cared.(and they still had pros anyway)

UFC has the big name pros.
MMA is so nuts no one cares.(except for the retards that dont know MMA and only want the ufc guys in the game.)

BEtter yet just get the Affliction, WEC, Strikeforce, and Dream fighters all in one game that would be dope.

Haha.. true, but that only means you gotta' get Dana onboard instead of each individual fighter. And that seems like an easier task to me. If THQ did not lock down an exclusive deal with the UFC, then I'd like to see what EA can produce using WEC and UFC fighters. Sorry to all the fans of "other" MMA installments, but the best talent lise in those MMA leagues, not elsewhere. And I personally would like to fight against the best. I know there are a few stragglers out there like Fedor and such, but UFC has pretty much all the best locked down. With that being said, pursuing the rights, or at least the right to use "Zuffa" fighters seems like the best path for EA IMO.

UFC signed an exclusive contract with THQ till 2011. Maybe after that they could have Zuffa fighters, I hate exclusive contracts it slows down progress due to a lack of competition take MADDEN for example.

Well, I guess that settles it then lol.. I don't know then to be honest. I know Affliction has some decent names, but do they have enough to warrant the interest of the casuall fan?? I don't think so. Maybe EA will be able to figure something else out, or buy out THQ's contract, tho in this economy I wouldn't count on that.

Not all the way true....some fighters image rights are locked into a contract yes. However, a lot of fighters who are in the UFC are not. UFC is trying to secure the fighters image rights so they cant take up on offers such as this game. I know this for a fact as the UFC contacted us just recently to try to lock up our fighters in a deal.

Yep..

Would like to see Lashley & Sapp included. Lashley has great potential and Sapp is still a pretty well known name. Plus I'd love to create Mike Tyson and have the Tyson/Sapp K-1 fight that should have happened in 2003.

Tyson Vs Sapp K1 match is still not out of question. We are working on it still...

also leave some slots for created fighters, so we can create fighters not in the game.

add some female fighters too like gina carano, christine "cyborg" santos, shayna basler, sarah kaufman and a few others for them to fight against. unless that creates some kind of ratings issue for beating women or whatever, wwe games don't seem to have a problem with it though.

Kimo and Sapp can happen. We just need to see the contract first.

I think if EA is smart and they are...they would release some top fighters then later on sell other fighters as downloads.

I know as a customer this is dumb for me to ask. But if they did do it, they would be able to add fighters as they leave their UFC contracts or whatever. It would also help to add a lot more fighters as they wont be able to add all the fighters we want right now.

Tito.. is that you?? Haha..

Well, thats good news. At the same time it would be good for some of the other promotions to get some exposure too. Personally I'd rather see UFC fighters in an MMA game. And that not just because their the ones I'm most familiar with. I also find that pnd 4 pnd the UFC puts out the best product and provides the sport with the most "top tier" talent. But I look at it this way, as long as a "quality" game is made to represent the sport, I will be happy regardless of the selection of fighters.
