Yeah, I use custom music for just about any game that allows it. So, I'm not going to destroy what I've done with other games just to play Fight Night Round 4. It's unfortunate, because I really wanted to enjoy this game. Oh well.

Deleting music and and unplugging my network cable worked for me. Hopefully there is a patch soon.

So far I haven't been able to even finish the amateur tourney on PS3- the game freezes in between matches and I have to start from the beginning. Better start working ASAP. Last time I bought an EA title at full price was Kane's Wrath, a complete travesty of a game.
Start doing some real testing EA, and don't promise things you won't deliver.

Deleted everything on my harddrive and no luck. I can say I'm absolutely pissed off about this...I read this forum over and over trying to fix the demo...and you mean to tell me that EA let this game go out the door without addressing this issue??? This is NOT rare, I Google'd this issue and found tons of people posting about having the problem. EA needs to get on this immediately.

I'm not even a person that posts complaints on the forums but I can say this is just the worst ....especially since they KNEW this problem existed.

Ok, now I've deleted all music, turned off all the computers sharing music, and formated the GD hard drive...still doesn't work....any other suggestions besides unplugging my network connection (which works) ...but I don't want to do that becuase I paid for a game that is supposed to WORK ONLINE.

Wholly *...Madden 2009 and they still haven't fixed that...incredible. Makes me not feel guilty about downloading their games in the past now..

UPDATE: Yes, the network cable thing mentioned below works, but you're right, what a pain in the a**.

OK, uplugging the network cable lets the game load. That makes me think it's an EA specific issue. No other game I own does this. If it's something to do with time syncing like the support document says then why is this a problem only with EA games?

Thanks for letting the people that support your company who went out to pay $69 bucks for this game be your free beta testers. You knew this was an issue with the demo but still couldn't get it fixed for release time. Is that why the release was delayed?

I submitted this to Kotaku and I suggest everyone else do the same with their game journalist of choice. Our best bet is to get this issue out in the open to those that don't own the game so it'll put pressure on EA to get something fixed that shouldn't be broken in the first place. Let everyone know that EA ships out broken games so they know ahead of time what to expect when dropping the cash on a new game.

OH, and I have no custom music and the only thing I did to make it work was unplug the network cable before starting the game. After the game gets to the menu you can press the xbox button and connect to live from there. It's a huge pain in the butt when you keep all of your equipment in an entertainment center and is still an unacceptable solution. Fixing the problem will be what I'm waiting on.

For those where unplugging your cable works... is your 360 connecting to a router? Do you have a PC on that router where your xbox may already be or have the ability to stream music from?

If you go to your Xbox 360 music library does it recognize other programs in there on your network where it can grab music?

These are just thoughts... For me it was deleting playlists off my HDD... but for others it seems it could be Streaming music...

The ONLY thing that has worked for me is unplugging my ethernet cable and I'm not sure why. Unfortunately this has hosed my online connection. I have an MS wireless adapter and ever since I unplugged it the thing won't detect my internet connection. There is no light on it at all. This is puzzling to me as it worked fine and all I did was unplug the damn thing. I'm not blaming this on anything faulty with the game as these MS adapters are known to be kinda screwy..but if it wasn't for the game I would've never unplugged it.

I was having the same issues with freezing on the first screen on my Xbox 360 Elite 120 HDD. I also had windows media player streaming to my box enabled. I disabled the media sharing in windows media player and viola, it works. Before you go unplugging ether net cables and hard drives, disable the sharing to see if that works. Luckily I don't use the streaming anymore so it doesn't really bother me, but c'mon EA how can you release a game with a problem like this? Are they trying to force us to listen the in game music?

This is clearly not an issue with hundreds of different peoples HDDs.

I understand this may be an issue that IS from a HDD, but it was not created by the HDD; it was created BY THE SOFTWARE!

Fix this low-ball BS

Anyone noticed how EA reps where commenting in here on the first page but as soon as more problems and more complaints arise they ignore us, Usual thing from EA.

Anyway I could never get Demo to work, Have 120 HD, wireless connection, Yes I use Tversity to stream stuff. After reading the first few posts on here I tryed taking off the HD, It worked but was pointless so I tryed unplugging the wireless adapter on back of console and it worked so what I did was unplug and then load it up and then plug wireless back in. Then I read about the NHL custom saved playlists so I went into my music and deleted the saved playlist I had and now it loads up fine without having to unplug anything.

Whenever you load up a game xbox live auto dissconnects and reconnects straight away with every game. This may be where the problem lyes, Its either the Hard Drives, Wireless adapters, Custom Tracks or EA`s continuesly inability to provide a stable game, Take your pick guys.

When I heard a while ago EA where going bust I almost fainted with joy, Was over the moon like the Mr.Spoon on Button Moon. Honestly they are very well known for ignoring customers for a start, Producing absolutely diabolical games, Bring out DLC after DLC within weeks of release of the game and charging for it, Could of made it into the full game but No, EA decide to hold it back to rip us off even more.

Yes they should of fixed it for release coz yes the demo was screwed aswell. They had plenty of time. No wonder they hated so much.
