Please enter a valid promotional code.

I bought the collection pack and have tried various ways of getting it up and running but I keep getting this. What can be done so i can install the game ??
Even tried creating a new account with EA and it still comes up with "Please enter a valid promotional code."

EA, how about changing the security model for the booster packs in the upcoming patch?

Why not just change it so it runs the same as BF2 and SF? After all, they have alot less issues plus you don't have to be connected to the web to use content you have paid for the right to play.

Ok, seriously people, I've been watching this thread for almost 2 years now and not one person has offered any sort of solution. Instead, we just get more and more victims of this swindle. Obviously, there's something wrong with i BF2:CC, so get your game on, already, EA!!!!

I,m getting the same problem. I,ve had bf2 since it came out in the uk, Purchased and installed both expansion packs as soon as they came out. I,ve played all the expansion packs loads of times and now I cant !!!!. keep getting the same daft message about registering the packs . There already registered, otherwise I would not have been able to play them in the first place, and like others here I followed the link at the top of this thread and came up against the "enter promotional code" whatever that is, the only code I have is the one on the back of my bf2 book which is the serial code and I,ve entered that and still no joy. So can someone in ea or dice tell us what is happening, why does something that's been working suddenly stop working with no explanation or cure. and inccidently I update punkbuster every time I play, so its not them

Guys ... don't know if this will help or not, maybe some of you. But I had issues that I eventually got fixed. First PB must updated and the latest BF2 patch must be installed.

This was my fix for the complete collection issues ... which I have 2 copies of.
But what it boiled to for me was having the right BF2 soldier account (online user ID, or gamespy ID is what EA calls it), associated with the correct EA user account, which in turn is associated with with your DVD key. Below is the response from EA. The associated link will take you to your EA user account, which lets you associate an on-line user account (BF2 solder) to a specific DVD key, via your EA account.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to EA.com account services.

Please note that you may play Battlefield 2 and Special Forces using any gamespy id (online user ID) however, in order to access Armoured Fury or Euro Forces maps you will need to associated your online user ID with the EA screen name which is registered for Armoured Fury or Euro Forces. Unfortunately, at the moment only one online user ID can be associated with an EA screen name.

However, you may switch between online user ID by the following way.

1) Go to https://account.ea.com/myacct/verify-pa ... er&skin=er. Enter your EA screen name and Password to login.
2) For security purpose, you will be asked to re-enter your account password.
3) Once you have entered the password, you will be shown the 'My Account' page.
4) Click on the "Downloads Info" tab to find your Battlefield 2 Soldier Name.
5) Click on "Edit BF 2 Soldier name" and enter the soldier name/nick name you use when playing Battlefield - 2 online.

If you wish to access Armoured Fury and Euro Force at a time with different online user ID's then you will need to purchase separate copies of these games and you will have to register them on different EA screen names.

Please let us know if there is anything else needed.

Thank you.

First, I have VISTA (32-bit).

I have some very good advice for people that want to get the booster pack components to be fully functional:

* NOTE: DO NOT install Punk Buster from the DVD (download from http://www.evenbalance.com.

1) Uninstall BF2 and restart your computer,

2) Install BF2 (select Register later - unless you've haven't regist. yet),

3) As described in the manual, Select "No, I will restart my computer later" when asked,

4) It will then attempt to install each of the 3 booster packs (each attempt will FAIL),

5) After each booster installation attempt fails, restart your computer,

6) Put the DVD back in the drive, open: "Computer > BF2DVD > Installers > SF > Setup.exe,

7) then update to 1.41, read this link 1st: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=-zpbrvpj&p_faqid=14323,

Repeat Step 6 for the Euro Force in "Intallers > EF > Setup.exe, and Armoured Fury in "Installers > AF > Setup.exe,

9) And Re-install patch 1.41,

10) Finally Play and Have Fun!

If you have installed Punk Buster from the DVD, you will have to un-install the pbsvc.exe and re-install the service.

Here is the link for the "pbsvc.exe" service:

Not sure if this file works with Mac.

Well... I have the Battlefield complete collection and i have installed all the games including SF, AF and EF. For some reason i cannot play Euro force or Armored fury like everyone else, i saw a post agees ago on page 2 of this thread saying something about downloading the actual AF and EF off your my account on EA website but i cant seem to find out how they did this as i see nothing about downloading games on my account page... also i have the Deluxe edition but wanted the booster packs so bought the complete edition ASWELL! Which in my view so far was a complete waste of money as EA dont seem to want to solve this issue, also the thread has gone off topic from unable to connect to the servers to something about PB problems which really should be on the punbuster forums... EA have been not very helpfull as i have tried contacting them email backs says they are looking in to it, 3 months later and still no reply. This isnt good. If the guys on page 2 did get it to work please can you notify us EXACTLY how you do it or if anyone else knows how to get it working please email me or post here or even both just copy and paste it as i dont check this forum regulary but everyone else wants a answer too.

Thanks to everyone for there help and thanks in advanced to anyone who gives a working answer.
