I think Skate 4 seems unlikely though.
there's been a skate master list for each skate game and some of the stuff in these lists made it in the games.
let's say like 5 or 10% of the realistic stuff asked.it's not much but the devs looked at these things.and they fixed a lot of stuff since og.

i agree, i doubt the devs would have thought of hardcore mode unless we kept asking for it. They really do respond as much as I think they could get away with.

I had no idea.
Well, if 5 or 10% of the stuff listed in this thread was in the next one that'd be an improvement... If there is a next one.
I'll give them this, they do listen to the community.

the ability to set the style of each trick would be a game changer....
i don't think its too far out of the realm of possibility either.
i think even at a rudimentary level it would be an improvement... say i want the loose push... aggressive flips... and og grinds or whatever...
just something so everyone isn't a clone...
right now the only differences between one skater and the next is the actual way they hit things like angle and speed.
A better character editor should have came 2 games ago... almost every EA sports game has had a really good editor for about the last 5-6 years... t woods 2006 for ps2 had my in game character looking almost exactly like me in real life.
I'd really like to see them go back to the one huge city layout of the first games... gave the game a much more natural feel....
but if they are going to keep the separate areas like S.3, i'd like to see them fleshed out better... with more intelligent design....
The way Danny Way, and Art Gallery DLCs came out were just about perfect... so much so that i think either one of those spots are better than any of the three spots from the main game....
If they are just single spots, I'd like to see it where it's a representation of many real life cities... similar to San Van, but on a smaller scale... Have a fakeboarding "NYC", go the the airport and take a plane to fakeboarding "madrid", "sao paulo", "tokyo" or "prague" etc.... riding the subway spot to spot in SV was a small piece of realism that I really miss.
S.1 got the biggest thing right on that level which is every object skateable, and every object had a reason to be there... not every spot in the game was a spot a real pro would film a mag cover...
which i think almost every rail/stair set in PC is...
I love the speed of the game now compared to S.1. In OG skate i felt like i was going a million miles an hour all the time....
But I loved the way you didn't float in OG... it made lip tricks and grinds feel much more natural.
I think CAP has to stay a feature now... That genie isn't going back in the bottle.
I would just like to see it fleshed out a bit more... Instead of pre-built lots, give us a blank canvas and let the builders go to work...
a polygon grab/stretch feature to make organic hills and valleys on the "floors" of objects would open up a whole new world of CAPs, and the ability to make totally customizable transitions for snake runs and things like that.
Utilizing the LS RS clicks to open up some new trick mapping seams pretty obvious to me... and so far the idea of using the clicks to adjust "stances" is a pretty legit sounding idea.
I would love some "off board" tricks like old school footplant fingerflips and stuff, where you reach down grab your board, hop off, hop up on an obstacle, and do a varial before jumping back on the board....
Flip to grabs would add some much needed creativity for the Vert/Tranny guys...
Lock the stances so you don't shuffle your feet after you 180... if you are in switch, stay in switch so you can push and whatever... keep the controls reversed for switch too...(also would look much nicer if you took out the forward kick after the last full push.)
Broken skateboards from big drops would be so groovy....
Probably way off base but maybe like a HP system for skateboards.... Brand new deck starts with 100% health, and the more you ride/grind/take big drops... it gradually looses strength till it fails and breaks...
Wow, can't believe I'm saying this last.... but...
pretty pretty pretty please with sugar and whip cream on top
can we have Day/Night cycle....
OMG I will mow the lawn and wash the car for a whole month!

I really think they should include more realistic looking half pipes on the game...the only realistic looking half pipe is the Maloof one! The other half-pipes on the game are conceptually retarded, such as the industrial boat half pipes. Come on...they should give more credit to realistic tranny skating. I don't want to have to create half pipes to skate them.

yea bro you're right..they have alot of awesome bowls, and I enjoy them alot, but they don't have a variety of realistic/wooden halfpipes (one of the primary asspects of vert skating)....it would be awesome if they payed more attention to vert and included more wooden half pipes throughout the game

How about concave on the boards? a little thing that would go a far way for aesthetics.

In S3 it feels like Im skating through mud though...the skating is soooo slow.
I mean I can be going full speed and just barely make it up some half pipes...I shouldnt have to mega pump to make it up a 5 foot tranny when Im going full speed.
S2 was by far the worst though...it was waaay too fast.
OG felt just right to me.

Sorry if these have already been said....
I agree mos def about a more extensive CAS. If you can do it for Tiger, you can do it for Skate. Plus, It's annoying how there is 5 boards for one company, and 2 boards for another. Same with clothing and everything else. I love how in OG there was like 15 different pairs of iPaths. If EVERY company had an extensive selection like that, it would be great. Everyone else made great points about the other things I wanted in CAS, so I won't be redundant.
I wear headphones all the time in this game, but it would be nice if I didn't HAVE to wear a hat in order to wear them. A beanie would be nice, maybe even nothing at all. Headphones should be it's own separate accessory, and maybe that will open the door for other headgear. Not sure what, but whatever. Maybe Skullcandy should get in on this....
Lastly for my CAS tangent, is anyone else tired of falling once, and looking like you were in a dirty chimney?
Hi-five for real time environments.
Even more so, say it is daytime, and I wanna film during sundown, or night, all I gotta do is go change it in the options menu, and boom, new time of day. Weather would be cool, but if you're gonna do it, you gotta be real with it. If it's raining, the streets should be slicker and more difficult to maneuver, etc.
The only thing I may not have notice others talking about when it came to mechanics, is how the skater doesn't really look at the board when they are doing rotating flip tricks, or rotations at all for that matter. And the no complys are really stiff. But I'm sure fluidity as a whole would be a major step up. Thankfully, not much really has to be done.
Anyways, that's what was on the top of my head for now...

Sorry to double post, but I'd like to say, that OG had my favorite physics when it came to mini-ramps. I would skate the one in Regs for hours and hours.
