I have the same problem to i hope they fix it soon. it's so frustrating payn $20 buxs for nothn. whts the deal with needing an account anyway wtf.

The game is $15.00, but regardless my family should not be dealing with this problem right now.

My theory: I downloaded this to play with my son as well. My account (parent/gold) works fine. We login with his live account (child/gold) with family content disabled, same error.

This is the same type of situation with Bad Company. Bought the game since we both play BF2 on the PC and thought it would be fun on xbox. Came home signed in... he could not play. Spoke with EA tech support and they informed me his gamer tag has his birthday recorded and EA checks that and then uses the rating on the game to allow/disallow the person from playing.

The fix (not really a fix) would be to create a new profile for my son and lie about his age. Didn't happen and this will likely be the last EA game I purchase for the xbox.

Frustrating if this is the same situation. I think I should be the one to choose what is and what is not appropriate for my family. Twelve bucks....at least it wasn't the 60 we spent on Bad Company.

EA... you should be more clear in the description of your games...

The problem is related to EA's servers I think. I tried to link my account to my gamertag and I was supposed to get an email last night.. It has been 14 hours and I have yet to receive the email to complete the link between my account and my gamertag.

So... this is why people who have yet to link their accounts are unable to play. If its happening to people that have already linked their account prior to the launch, then I have no idea why.

it's ea's problem because on xbox records i am adult with gold membership so why can't i play.

One day further and we still cant start the game and have no clue on what's causing this or how to solve this. Many vote for the PEGI rating. I'm having hard time to call customer support for this costs more then the actual game itself. (Max rate = 22,50 eur). Parents can set in the xbox which games are allowed and it's set at no limits, so if this is PEGI rating preventing to launch the game then EA bypasses Microsofts solution for this and drive on their own in an effort to be more holy then the pope.

In the past EA allowed my son to buy and play bf1942, secret weapons of the luftwaffe, road to rome, bf vietnam, bf2, special forces, bf2142 and bf heroes. On top of that he has my permission to play bf 1943, all we need is some proper guidelines on how to get this thing working.

NB! On calling ms-xbox support on a different matter we were told that the game might not launch untill we went to EA website to get info on how to get it working. This I find remarkable, this means there's people out there who know about this and probably know the cause too. Yet no single line of reply by ea-representatives in here.

This definitely is a problem with setting up an EA account! I even played EA's games before on this account...

It's probably got to do with EA not having the server capacity ready for the game's launch (as always). And that's probably also why we don't get a single response to this problem which affects a LOT of people around the world wanting to play their game!

I've got it working by going to ea's site and logging in and linking my xbox account and my ea account together like that.

Tried to do that, but i never got a confirmation e-mail. I've tried several times
