Online franchise sucks without a salary cap. Pretty much won't play until it is implemented

-You made an online franchise
-The gameplay is slower and realistic
-There is realtime stat tracker

Overall I think EA should put the salary cap / contracts in this years version, otherwise it doesn't feel like a real franchise, but bravo for taking some nice strides forward.

The ability to do it.

Don't like
I'm sure this has been mentioned before but the Salary Cap. I just went and signed Marvin Harrison for free and dropped a 67 OVR person???? I cannot believe this wasn't added. Especially the way the people in the viedos talk abouot how AWESOME ONLINEDYNASTIES are!!!! Well it's not a dynasty without that sstuff.

Not scouting

Thats really about it right now but I am just shocked it isn't in there.

I'd go on more about how dumb of an oversight it was but I'm sure you guys are getting enough of it.

I haven't been able to play a franchise game yet.

Disappointing.

What I am more concerned with is the Online Co-op play, my friends and I are getting disconnected.
Is anyone else having this problem. IS this an ea Glitch or is it just us.

I enjoy the franchise mode on xbox live just because it has been missing for many years. I would however fix two major disappointments. I would like to be able to import draft classes from NCAA and the trading is terrible. Players with overall ratings of 45 can be traded for 99's. This ruined one of our franchises because a few people found out about this. Until this is fixed id recommend computer trades be turned off.

It exists.
Ability for fantasy draft to start.
Ability to turn off cpu-trades.

Dislikes (Please improve!):

There needs to be a way for a franchise member to play as a computer opponent versus another franchise member. Get rid of the 30 minute wait between advancing weeks. I am in a franchise with one other person. We both bought the PS3 and Madden 10 last week only because online franchises are available, so that we could play each other like we used to do years ago offline in high school. With the offline franchise we could play our matches against eachother, and play as the cpu against the other for playoff games while simming everything else. We don't like playing against the cpu. Unfortunately, with the current set up we can only play 2 or 3 times a year (same division) but we have to wait 30 minutes to advance all the other weeks when nothing is happening. This is very frustrating.

Please include some sort of "coaching options" like there is in offline mode. We need to be able to choose our run/pass balance and decide if we want our defense to play 3-4 or 4-3. My friends team has Matthew Stafford at QB and Adrian Peterson at RB but regularly throws the ball 75% of the time (despite usually being the lead).

To sum up, suggested improvements are:

be able to play as cpu team against a human's team
eliminate 30 minute wait to advance a week
coaching options for simmed games.

Together we invested $800 to buy our PS3's and copies of Madden 10 so we could play online franchises, but to be honest, the current setup really falls short. It's especially frustrating that the more serious limitations (30 minute wait and no playing as cpu team) seem so arbitrary.

A question: Does EA plan on tweaking the current online franchise system for Madden 10 or are you taking these suggestions only with regards to changes for Madden 11?

Things I like

-Fantasy Draft available
-Stat tracking during the season
-The fact that an online franchise exists
-10 years is good

Things I dislike
-No create-a-team option (or stadium relocation to move a team)
-No Salary Cap (HUGE ISSUE)
-No scouting rookies for the draft during online franchise
-No CPU Trade Logic. They will accept any trade.

I feel like there is alot to be improved upon. You guys did a great job getting this going, but I honestly believe all of my dislike are very legitimate concerns and not being nitpicky. Basically, the online franchise mode should be a mirror image to the offline franchise mode (only difference being online)

This really sucks man, I have been running a league for over 5 years, with 32 different guys around the world. We are all very unhappy about this franchise issue.

Dear Dewiel,

i've been running a Madden League for 7 years and we're still playing with Madden 08 on pc. We were planning to move to next gen and to madden 10 but after reading about lack of salary cap and contracts , i stopped everything.

Now, i think there are some features that cannot be set aside , as the salary cap and players contract cannot be set aside from a franchise \ dinasty. Because the cap and the contracts are the HEART of a franchise.

Actually EA SPORTS is selling only SMOKE, and i think they should feel a little embarassed because it's like you're selling a Ferrari without engine.

This is really sad, especially taking into account that Ea Sports have the exclusive right on NFL videogames. It's not a really fair or good politic trying to consider your customers as retarded.

There are many other things that need to be improved, like the rookie scouting, the possibility to use custom sliders and to set speed, more control for admins etc etc... but the salary cap is a MUST.

In view of the above, i'd like to receive an answer to my question:

IS EA SPORTS PLANNING TO IMPLEMENT THE CONTRACTS \ SALARY CAP FEATURE with a patch, or i have to wait another year before buyng the game?

I now look forward to receiving your kind advice.
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Of course they won't do anything with a patch, theyre lazy enough as it is, itll just be a new feature for 11

In other news, why the hell are ea sports highlights so *? They never EVER capture the whole play, and the camera angles are retarded

Most things have been mention such as contracts ect.

Things i would like to see:

-One thing i've noticed that's really bugged me is that from time to time user vs user games don't save and requires the game to be played over again. It's just annoying to have to replay a guy you just spent an hour playing.

- Autopilot: When someone in the franchise has to go out of town or cannot play the week for whatever reason, it would be cool to have an autopilot option that would allow their opponent to play the CPU like in Online Dynasty for NCAA.

After reading through most of these posts, I think It's pretty obvious we would all like the online experience to be the same as offline. If they could get all the details, including the difficulty, It would be a success.

One thing I would like to see added is, if im the commish, and I click that I am ready, when everybody else clicks ready the week should automatically skip. As of right now, I can click ready, but I would still need to manually skip the week once everyone else clicks ready. It may sound petty, but if im unable to sign on to skip the week forward, It slows down the entire league.
