Unbelievable. Every year the same story. How can this continue to be an issue year after year? I gave up on them after the previous "next gen" releases all exhibited the same problem. Glad I'm not a sucker this year. Good luck all.

yea same here, i go into the online menu. then when i try to go back to the main screen, it freezes every time. its happened everytime i try to quit the online menu.

im on the 360 btw, but this seems to be a problem across both platforms. we need a patch ASAP!

FREEZING mid game.....again.(eg. 09) cmon lets get this patch out. this game really only starts about the time reg season starts cuz it takes a month or so to fix the BS that dont work. what makes it worse is the game is awesome this year. But my offline franchise is freezing in week 12 mid game......AND sometimes at the beginning of the 2nd half the field becomes black til it goes to a cutscene. Do you need testers or something? I'll do it for free from home cuz the last 2 years i've found issues in the 1st week, not little issues but "cant play at all" issues. OH WAIT!!!
I just realized, to save a buck, you decided to let the world test this beta product so you can patch it. Well thats fine, just next year charge us "testers" like $40 for this beta product, then when you get it completed around mid September sell that for $60......Please provide us loyal customers with some info on this much needed patch ASAP. I have gotten Madden since original nintendo with the pass windows and players just had numbers with the book that had their ratings in the back. Anyways, I'll put this $60 coaster on my coffee table til the patch.....seems familiar

WHEW! thought it was just my copy, but same thing, week 12 1st quarter offline franchise. Did u also have games where the field would turn black and the players glow til a cutscene?

And just when i thought it couldn't get any worse.I attempted to play an offline exhibition game since my offline franchise doesn't work and actually made it through the first quarter.Well what happened in the 2nd quarter made me stand up and scream at the TV.I'm all for being authentic but including blind dumb refs is overboard.Anyway I was playing as the Saints against the Eagles and on the 11yd line I threw a pass to Colston who made a diving catch 5yds deep in the endzone..TOUCHDOWN SAINTS!!!!.....Wait...Its being challenged???? Oh the catch....that's cool..No????? You mean their challenging the spot of the ball??? How in the hell is that possible...Clearly caught touchdown in the middle of the endzone..Surely this will be ruled in my favor.....WHAT THE F%$&!!!!!! The Eagles win the challenge and the ball is placed on the 5yd line?WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON EA!!!!! THIS CANT EVEN HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE MUCHLESS A VIDEO GAME!!!!Oh wait it just happened to me.This is my second gripe in only a few days.SOMEONE PLEASE READ THESE AND FIX OUR PROBLEMS BEFORE WE HAVE A CASH FOR CLUNKER VIDEO GAME DEAL GOING ON!!!

my game freezes every day at least once but usually more. it happens while i'm in a lobby. if i don't find a game in under 2 minutes it freezes almost every time

ihad a freezing problem constant on my 09 version wit my 360... ikno its the game becuz it was the only game doin that, had no problems with other games... ive almost played 2 seasons in franchise with no freezing & hopefully igot a good game this year... pre-ordered mine from amazon this year

i just got mine, but it keeps freezing in superstar mode... as others have posted on the web. the number of freezing problems already mentioned are ridiculous. they should not roll out a technically dysfunctional game. if these problems can't be fixed through updates... those programmers should be fired. period

It freezes up on me at all times. in game, in lobby, in menu, during pause. It's out of control.

Any news on a patch?

It just froze a bit ago when I was playing a game (not online). Really pissed me off, because it froze right after I scored a touchdown after having the opposite team fumble the ball during a kickoff.

i havent had any problems with freezing until yesterday... hopefully havent played yet today

but anyway.. mine froze up twice yesterday both in my offline franchise and both of them were right after i hit the hit stick when i had someone lined up just as they were about to make a catch

and i dunno if its just coincidence but they were both with bob sanders tryin to make the tackle
they both froze as soon as i hit the hit stick
but they were both against different teams in my offline franchise!!

I've never had freezes on the menus. But sometimes when the AI is about to attempt a field goal, it does a quick zoom out and then sits there until a delay of game is called. Fine with me but its obviously a glitch.

Mine started freezing after I d/l'ed the roster update. It will freeze when it loads or in the middle of games. Anyone got solutions to stop it? Maybe downloading the roster again?
