Thanks--Clubhack
When the game is complete and you can see the scoreboard, you must press the plus button within a minute or so. If you do anything but this, it is counted as a quit and you lose the game. Even if you just leave it there for 10 minutes or so, you lose.

Eric, are these disconnect reports working? Now that I'm monitoring my skill points closely I notice about 1 maybe 2 disconnects every 3 days that leads to voided game. It's obvious that disconnects leading to "voided game" is happening but is EA continuing to get use out of the disconnect reports? If so I'll keep them coming. I understand the main things you're after is date, time and persona name.

Today at around 6:20 PM MET, playing against frj, at hole 5 "Connection to lobby server" drops down. After I reconnect as asked for, the game was count as a lost for me. That tooks me down 4000 places and gaves me drop rate of 5%.
Never had this message before. But sounds like it happens on EAs side and not on mine.
What´s your experience with that Errormessage? Does it happens cause my connection went down or is EA responsible for that?
Bye

On 10/31/09 I played Maurice140 at Bay Hill. I was leading him by 4 strokes when he disconnected on the 16th. I did NOT record a win and that probably cost me 100 spots in the rankings. The only thing I can think of is that I was playing my 5th game in a row. I've heard that if you are on too long the server will kick you off without warning. So, can any of you EA geniuses explain what happened here? Naturally, I don't expect a reply (you never have before) so surprise me, ok?

Ok dont wanna be a whiner but 11/2 at around 1245 PST was playing a NRCook leading by about 17 after 14 holes in a Play anyone match. Disconnect after 14 assumed he quit. My connection was FINE! Later i see a loss and a drop of around 120 places in rank. Please Eric or EA this stuff is killing me and others I assume. I was fine until I saw I got a loss in this game. Would love a reply to this from EA n Private Message is fine, or can you go fix this????

About 23:50 GMT I was playing Stan*** and got oponnent disconnected (or similar). Close game which he was leading by 1 or 2. I have had far more disconnects than completed game. Even as a newbie it's really getting on my wick !

Had 2 DCs this morning playing sheggy and AztecHH, both times I was leading, both times 10th and 11th hole. No Win, no loss, just frustration for spending time in that instable online playing. It´s no fun anymore Eric. Won´t post no more DCs, cause there is no solution for getting back the time and the wins.

One more just to bring it to the point: Today the same thing happenend. Was leading at hole 17, that means I lost 25 Minutes of my rare(?) time when DC without Win or Loss. Two days ago someone send by my ISP checked my connectivity and said it`s absolutly ok. Seems that there is no more interest existing in this so why not move that post to Nirvana, NCD?

You must understand that the disconnects you are experiencing are almost certainly the result of insufficient resources on your end and not a product or server side issue. Many of us play hundreds of rounds without a disconnect. This is because we are fortunate to live in areas with excellent internet service and use properly configured equipment. I have my Wii "hard wired" to my home network and do not rely on a wireless connection. Since doing so I think I have had 2 DC's that were probably the result of my opponents set-up not mine or EA's.

Hi Longhowie,
the last DCs I had gave me neither a Loss nor an Win and no change in my Droppedgames rate. I had therefore 5 games that didn´t seem to exist. By this I have no clue if i´t was my equipment that disconnected or the opponents. Normally you should get an Win or a Loss, especially when the DC appears at holes after #3 and higher like in my games. I use this Wireless Router: Belkin G+ F5D9230de4.
Maybe I go the way Hoghead is thinking about and use LAN instead of WLAN.
But if some of the elders here like Glen or NCD could tell me somthing to the "No Win No Loss No Dropped game rate"-Dilemma?
LeeTargo
All the games have been ranked games of course

Longhowie, I appreciate these issue have got to be looked at end-to-end. I accept I have a rubbish bandwidth BUT many many Apps run perfectly well including streaming Apps. I certainly don't claim to be an authority, but there must be something they can do to improve error / recovery / retry / reconnect routines.
It's just not good enough.

Just because computers connected within your LAN can stay connected doesn't mean your Wii doesn't have a problem. You, and anyone else that has any unexplained disconnects that cause loss of game should do the following:
1. Just before going to bed, run TW
2. Go online with TW
3. In the morning, verify that you are still connected. If not, then you have a network problem at your end (or the EA servers have gone down, but in this case everyone would have lost connection).
An even better test is to simply leave TW online 24/7, and obviously leave the Wii powered up at all times.
If the games in which you are disconnected do not lead to a loss of game, then and only then can you assume that the problem is not in your equipment or ISP. Even for computer industry experts, networking is a very complex thing, and failures can come in many more ways that you can imagine. Do the test and perhaps be surprised.

Glen you are right with your testing scenarios. But as i have mentioned I had definitly 5 disconnects in ranked games, the disconnects occured far behind hole 3 and I got no win, no loss and no higher/lower percentage in my dropped games. So these games still haven´t been recogniced by EAs servers. In my understanding of databases, the played games should be kept for a short while in the databases (maybe just for short). So if this happens to me again, I will notice the exact time and the opponents name, but will Eric be able and willing to ask the Database-people what has happened to this game? Does it occure there or is it still invisible? Can you ask him for this?
Tomorrow i try the Dlan technique Hoghead ist thinking about and today I changed some of my routerconfiguration like switching to an channel that seems away from others the people around me use and 802.11g only instead of mixed with 802.11b.
I don´t want to permanently moan about disconnects and I have no problem with them when they result in an win or loss, cause that signals me my equipment or my opponents equipment is the reason, or at least one of us both has quitted the game with his own will. But 5 games without any influence of win, loss, dropped are just ridicoulus for me.
Remember my "The darkest 4 hours" post? That was really an technical problem that has not occured since then. I had the modem online that is connected with my Wlan-Router for 24 hours and in the router logfiles there is no hint for any interuption, the technicians that proofed my connection here in my house, said, everythings fine.

My earlier post referred exclusively to games in which a loss was recorded. As for the "no win, no loss" games, I am aware of these happening, as I've had plenty. Wish I knew more.
