well maybe this will also help my game out a bit. when i run out of rocket ammo, i can no longer pick up anymore because even with being empty, the old one will no go away so i can pickup another. any suggestions?

i cant even get the patch installer to START. help please!

note: i bought this game from Steam yesterday, in case it matters.

if you've downloaded Crysis from Steam (or ANY game from Steam) it's automatically updated to the latest version. that's how Steam works...you don't have to download any patches anymore.

While trying to install the 1.2 patch, it keeps asking for the game dvd in the middle of the installation. The game DVD is in the drive and I click OK, but it refuses to advance and see that the game disc is already in the drive. My current version of Crysis is 1.1.1.5767 which I assume is version 1.0. I bought the Crysis Maximum Edition when I built my new rig a week ago.

Disregard, the patch update worked after I repaired my Crysis installation. Wierd that it was required since I have no mods or anything installed. I am also happy as it has finally fixed the dreaded screen flickering issue that plagued my crossfire setup.

I've not bought from Steam (retail disc), and I'm getting the "1642" error. No change when I run as administrator. Any ideas? I can just about get into games every now and again, but it's a jerky mess.

Edit: I think I've sorted the patch issue now. Multiplayer is still very jerky though.

I keep running the patch and its telling me that it cannot locate Crysis 2 on my system, reinstall and run this patch again, how do I solve this issue

Well my OS is WinXP-SP3, and I did receive the same notification. I bought my game at EA download site.
I solved the issue as follows.
Uninstall Crysis 2 and check if some Crysis 2 folder is present in My Documents as well as in Program Files\Electronic Arts. If so, delete it. Also disable all the programs appearing in your Tool Bar. Next go to Run and type %temp% and delete all. Likewise go to C:\Windows\Temp and do the same thing. Then disable your Antivirus and your Windows (or any other) Firewall. Finally click ALT+Ctrl+DEL and in Applications tab click End Task for all the programs, and in there click also Processes and stop everything OTHER THAN SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, NETWORK SERVICE and explore.exe. You will realize that all the processes to stop appear your name or maybe administrator, but don't stop explore.exe.
Now you're ready to re-install Crysis2 and the patch v1.4 without any problem.
