Hi everyone. I would like to join as well! I started the 30 Day Challenge on 2009/10/17 on Hard. I'm 5'2" and this morning weighed 137.5 lbs. I was actually down to 136lbs a week ago after I finished my first 30 Day Challenge on medium. Just took a week off to rest so now I'm back and ready to go again!

Hey,
ANYONE can join, you just need to keep note of any weight or inches lost and post them on sunday. If you have any tips, custom workouts or words of inspiration or motivation please feel free to post them. We're all here to help and encourage each other to get through our 30 day challenge successfully. Even if you don't reach your goal the first time round hopefully after the 30 days you will feel healthier and continue on your new fitness regime.
I'm a few days behind on my challenge (after only a week of doing it ) and did workout 4 last night. Already I can see slight muscle definition in my thighs, after one week, can't believe it, it's made my day.
MEEEONK - how much weight or inches did you lose during your first 30 day challenge?
How's everyone's eating habits?

I'm so excited about this 30 day challenge I will ease some of the stress of seeing all the family at Christmas.
I am 2 workouts in, yesterday was my rest day. I needed it - I was so sore! Looking forward to exercising again tonight. Never quite look forward to getting started, but I feel so great when I'm doing it and afterward I feel like I'm on top of the world!
I haven't done much in the way of changing my eating (yet). I should get a plan in place for that soon.
Good work everyone!

In terms of eating, I haven't made any drastic changes to diet, but I'm sure this week's enchiladas aren't exactly at the top of the list of "good" foods.
But more importantly I've made some changes to my daily activities:
I've added rollerblading to my daily commute (10 miles round trip), in addition to just biking, so I'm eager to see how that turns out! So far, sore lower back muscles and *~
Only thing is, roller blading cuts into my usual EA ACTIVE morning routine, so I still have to figure out where to fit THAT in once I get home after work.
And last but not least, ZUMBA class on Saturday mornings.
So, all in all, I'm happy with the variety of exercise I've been doing as of late!
Here's to the next weigh-in!

loser995: I lost 4.5 lbs during the first challenge and about 1/2 an inch everywhere (abdomen, chest, thighs). I'm happy with that start. My goal is to get down to 130lbs. Congrats on the muscle definition. It's so exciting when that happens!
In terms of diet, I've kept myself to small frequent meals, increased my water intake and made a limit of how many sugary drinks I'll have. My rule is: One bottle of Coke allowed during my 4 days of work (usually my last shift b/c it's a night) and one during my 5 days off. Everyone at work knows about the rules and is mighty excited on "Coke Night". Makes it more of a treat and I enjoy it so much more!

Sorry I'm so late. I just finished my 2nd 30 day challenge today, this time it was on hard.
I weighed in at 205 on Sunday. I started at 224 back in June, my goal is 200.

Haven't been on a computer for the past few days...
Monday weigh in: 137.5 lbs
No change. However...during my workout that day I completed 24/24 jumps on inline skating!!! Finally figured out the timing.

Good work on the jumps. I mess mine up by trying to do back flips. It only does a back flip if you jump at the last second. If you miss the timing you don't get the jump at all. On the days where it has multiple sessions of inline skating I'm just glad to be still standing to finish the last one!

STILL 137.5 lbs this week. I've realized that although I'm working extra hard, I haven't been eating the greatest lately. Time to tighten that up...

Still 140 lbs for me as well!
And that means no change from the original starting weight.
Perhaps this is simply the "ideal" weight for my body. Has anyone else ever experience that and thought "Maybe there's no point in fighting it!"?

203.2 for me which is down 0.8 lbs from last week and 3.2 lbs to go for my goal of 200. I started at 224. I did hit one plateau a few weeks ago where I didn't loose anything for a few weeks. I found that during my initial succes that I wasn't watching what I ate as closely and the sweets and alchohol were sneeking back into my diet. I tightened up on that and things started going down again. I have heard that changing up the exercises helps to get over a plateau, too. Besides EA Active I walk 2 miles a day and I am eating healthier. Exercise alone will not get your weight dropping, you need to diet too.

I read somewhere, and that doesn't necessarily make it true, that changing up your calorie intake can help when you hit a plateau. Apparently your body gets used to living on the amount of calories and exercise you are doing. It was recommended that if say you were trying to maintain a 1500 calorie a day diet that every 3rd week you go to 1800 and then back to your 1500 or go less than the 1500 for a week then back to 1500 again. It's supposed to keep your metabolism off guard a bit so it doesn't know when it needs to store fat.
It worked for me although it was unintentional. I hit a place where I was losing nothing and we went on vacation which led to eating more than I planned. I got serious again when we got home and lost an additional 2 lbs in about a week and a half.

Hi Guys,
Sorry I haven't posted any of my progress recently, I've been sick with flu and haven't exercised in two weeks!
As soon as I'm feeling better I'm gonna start my 30 day challenge over again.
How are you all doing?
