Yeah, I beleive it's possibly legit, I also beleive this is a video game and it's not perfect and you need to get over it. 99.9% of goals scored (offline atleast) are very legit and the amount of whining about goal types on this board is insane. Take it to the online section of this board. No one wants to hear you whine about how some guy online scored on a "glitch" goal.
You will never be satisfied..it's plainly obvious. sheesh.
Dude relax, quit "whining" about people "whining". This is what these forums are for. You are entitled to your opinion just as everyone else is. If you don't have issues with the game or just want to live with the ones you do have that's your perogative. But its also anyone elses perogative to voice their opinions, gripes or "whines" as you like to refer to it as. Let people vent if they feel like it... If you have such a huge problem with peoples gripes why don't you try offering constructive counterpoints and criticism instead of constantly tearing everyone down...

No one? I'm willing to bet most people who bought this game, bought it to play online and I'm sure a lot of people are getting frustrated about these glitch goals being scored all the time.
This forum section says "Talk about anything and everything related to the NHL® game series." So what's the problem?

I am so sick of people whining about every way to score being a glitch.
It's called hockey for * sake! Get over it...it's not perfect. A wrist shot is not a glitch...a toe drag isn't a glitch. Hell , I'd love to be able to score regularly! Quit complaining about goal types....! s sheesh1

Yes, I watched that sad example for a game. I didn't see any hockey sticks going through Gustavsson's or Legace's legs. You should learn to read.
The issue is not a curveshot (notice my title doesn't say glitch goals or anything of that regard). I'm talking about small lapses in programming which end with a weird result. In context, no collision detection leads to a player poke checking through the goaltender to score a goal. The game isn't perfect, but it doesn't mean that this kind of crap should occur on a regular basis.
So please, for the sake of everyone reading this topic. Please read the argument before you make yourself look like an idiot.

In the past week or so, the glitching has gotten VASTLY worse... It's spreading like wildfire...
Last night, I played about 5 VS games because my EASHL team wasn't around, and my god was it absolutely horrible...
People abusing LB ("shot block", but not to block shots) and Y (board play when there's no "realistic" need for it -- to avoid losing the puck) to no end (Xbox 360.. not sure what the PS3 equivalents are)...
"new curve shot" and wraparound attempts constantly...
The game has completely ceased to be enjoyable.. at least VS is getting that way...
The only reason EASHL is playable at all is because we look teams up before we play them and there are a few telltale signs of glitchers... we don't play glitchers.. (to be clear, we play lots of teams that are better than us, and get our * handed to us.. we actually ENJOY a losing game if it's to a good, legit team who just outworks us)....
Unfortunately, as the glitching gets worse, it's taking us longer and longer to find a legit matchup.. sometimes as much as 15-20 minutes...

Personally, it is a mixed boat for me...
On one hand I'm kinda glad my legit Xbox360 died on me. I can't play online anymore on live, but at least my modded Xbox360 is fine and playing offline has made me realise a few things:
1) I'm generally a happier person. It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying to play these jackass glitchers all the time on VS and OTP is turning into a farce.
2) I played online so much to know what a glitch is and when one is scored against me. If you don't know it is a glitch, you don't really care to cry about it or try it over and over again yourself to 'get back' at the opponent (AI).
3) I smile more when I play this game... ... see?
While this game obviously has its issues be it AI or physics, at least I can play a game without the expectation of being glitched on. It's weird when I catch myself making a mad dash to protect my net from the AI going around my net (and my AI D-man is already there to make the play if needed). Yes, the AI does score some magic goals some times but for the most part it does the job fairly. Unexpected goals and weird quirks are apart of hockey and it is not an easy thing to input into a game. Even in real life people have a love/hate relationship with weird bounces and/or circumstances. Depends on which side of the bounce you're on.
I was thinking of buying this game for my PS3 as I'm not going to buy another Xbox, but just reading these forums makes me realise I'd just be bringing myself back down to the level I was at before my Xbox fried.
NHL 11 can't come soon enough, but until then I'm quite happy with the offline NHL 10 has to offer so far. It isn't perfect, but no version of this game will ever be that way.

NHL09 - Top 200
NHL10 - Top 50
NHL11 - Top 10
NHL12 - Meh
The only way not to complain about this game is to not play it |

I was playing offline BAP and had one of my shots go through the goalie's glove, I did a back and forth deke and just shot, as it gives you more power, and it just flew through the glove. A lot of shots go in that shouldn't, but how many shots from the hash marks are stopped that in any real game would have sniped a hole? EA has made the goalies so fast that glitch goals are the only reliable way to score. I don't know how to do a single one but I might have found a couple, the slap shot top corner from the blue line seems to go in a lot more often if you shoot while skating towards the corner you hit, normally an unscreened shot from that far out would be easy to stop for an nhl goalie.

Two major things that NEED to happen in NHL 11.
1-> In Be A Pro Mode you should be able to request a trade, whether you can pick the teams, or get a selection of a couple from your agent, however you want to do it, we shouldn't be stuck on a team after signing a massive contract.
2-> The Fantasy Draft is back, wonderful, one of my favourite features all time in NHL games, however, can only use it with Season Mode or Be A GM mode. Could you possibly enter it in the main menu under rosters just to be able to do a Fantasy Draft, and then save your rosters so you can start a Be A Pro with your fantasy draft team?

Completely agree with you, they have made the goalies way too hard to score against. I would love to see some more snipe shots go in time to time, there are just way too many gloved shots that you cannot score. One timers, rebounds, and glitches are basically the 3 ways to score, with the occasional screen shot going in.
And I completely agree with the rampant glitching going on online. It is no fun when you play a person who does the same toe drag at the circle then rips a shot top corner. Or a person who tosses a weak shot at the goalie that the goalie gives a huge rebound and then takes 5 seconds to get back in the net. Over and over and over. Def frustrating.

Um, why do you keep posting replys to these threads in which your response has nothing to do with the original thread?
