Random AHO thought... Is it really possible for the game engine to calculate every possible shot on the course on the fly? Or are all of the AHO's actually canned shots. Like they took areas on the course and set two or three different shots to drop from that area. And this was done across all the courses? I only ask because it seems like the shots don't look like they came from the same area or with the correct trajectory, in relation to where they were shot... Like they were based on standard club tuning (i.e. no where near enough loft) or come in from a different angle, even with the club change that occurs taken into account? Just curious... SkinniePost But there are others that look just like you hit it right on...

I really don't think there are any "hot spots" that cause AHO. I think they are caused by a combination of shot difficulty, how well your opponent has been/is performing, your previous shot, you pre-shot adjustments, and your actually aim.

I thought of myself as being quite observant, but for the life of me I can't tell when an opponent got an AHO or has made a damn good shot. I use the AHO and they go in spurts. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. After all, don't you have to get the ball real close to get an AHO?

Hey SP,
I'm working on a program to convert DGG's M- AHO's to work with M+.
Limited success so far, but I am starting to get them to work sometimes. I'll let you know how the R&D is going on this one.
Sorry Dad. I grabbed a bag full the other day for the testing when you turned your back. I figured you wouldn't mind since it is for a good cause.

I wonder if the AHO's have anything to do with how smooth you swing? I would say I'm not a very smooth swinger (I swing pretty hard) and I don't get many AHO's. Could be part of the equation I suppose.

Clarification to NCD... I was referring to the graphics on some of the AHO shots (which look like they were programmed), not what triggers them. I agree with NCD, a combination of things triggers them, though... Most importantly accuracy. Later, The SkinniePost Also, Dude does you AHO converter have a little toggle switch?
