I myself am not the biggest fan of the system, I would rather see an natural progrssion system like FIFA has in thier game

I agree with you 100% Would EA go for it though? My theory is that because Hockey has regional sales and FIFA is more world wide that the current system was to set up to add additional income. I dont think EA would change the system w/o something in place that ensures a continuation of that income. These titles are expensive to create and I'm sure they dont want to surrender an income stream that is currently in place. It would be better if they just flat charged you and be done with it, but I'm probably in the minority. I still havent seen any ideas other than my orginal idea.
