Rampage indeed was the agressor most of the time but he didnt throw anything really. Not like Machida did, but I dont see how it could have won him rounds.

He did get that takedown in the 2nd I think, but other than that? * decision I'd say.

No I agree, I was more surprised than Rampage.

Controlling the cage and aggressiveness are a part of the scoring system, I don't think there is any doubt that Rampage had both for the first two rounds. Being a counter fighter is a good tactic but it doesn't look good in the judges eyes to constantly back up.

I disagree, Rampage knew he lost the third round. The first two rounds were close but not close enough to be scored for machida IMO. The agression is what did it, Lyoto did nothing the first two, he knew he had to finish in the third and even in the third he neary lost twice, when he had page backing up and page went apeshite had he not got the takedown he was ktfo'd, and also if he hadnt hopped outa that armbar: either ko then and there or it woulda dazed him enough to be finished by gnp. On another note: PENN IS FRIGGIN BACK BAYBAY YEAAAAH what a ko.

Looked like a 155 version of Aldo. The 55 division is gonna be crazy over the next few years.

Swinging and missing every strike you throw should take into account and getting leg kicked and countered(very little) should go into account. But the"rules" don't take that apparently. Rampage lost that first round for sure, he didn't do anything but come at Machida. Besides Machida LET Rampage come after him which SHOULD overrule the whole"aggresive" into the judging.Hell even Forrest Griffin laughed at that kind of judging. Being agressive shoudln't make you win an entire round. I think imo you're scrapping at anything to justify him winning round 1 when he shouldnt. To each his own but I don't see how Page won that.

He landed the most significant strike in the first round IMO with that uppercut he threw off the fence. However, if you consider the striking a tie in the first round like I did, there is still no debate about who controlled the cage and who was more aggressive.

I mean I didn't see Machida winning the fight. I thought it could possibly be a draw but like I posted before the third round, I though Rampage had it 2 rounds to 0. I don't think it was a robbery by any means, it was too close of a fight.

For what it's worth Dana said in the press conference that he thought Rampage won the fight as well.

Il put it this way. I too thought Page won the fight but i could find no reason to be outraged if they gave it to Machida as well

This.

Rampage won round 1; Lyoto round 3. I don't see how anyone could've seen it differently. Round 2 was 50/50. A draw would've been fair but maybe the takedown swung it.

There have been a lot of bad decisions recently. This wasn't one of them.

Kinda weird (all tho it was obvious) that Machida won the third even tho really the only two times the fight came closed to being finished were in the 3rd for page, when he spazzed out after backing up and almost/would have knocked Lyoto's head of his shoulders and the armbar slam. Personally i scored 1&2 for page n 3 for Machida but like I said the 2nd could've been scored for Machida too.

They will do it again. Those two "HAVE" to fight again.

After a night's sleep and some reflection time, i'm still shocked by BJ maybe as much as Matt..nah but close.

I am looking forward to seeing more improvement from Davis and that Barboza guy gave me nightmare's VERY impressive.

I enjoyed the card.

BTW, did any of you see Paul Williams get KTFO last night on HBO? Keep your hands up son or you'll get face planted hehe.
