Much better showing tonight

thing I instantly picked up on is the punches appear to have their much hyped about power to them

Please carry this over into the competitive online modes

Dont cave into people who don't want to learn how to box and set up flurries appropriately

People Need to learn that getting punched hurts and that there are Severe consequences for fighting recklessly

Theres a reason most fighters just don't get in the ring and brawl like a silly Tough-Man contest

Respect the science as always

I'm going to be buying this. The lunge looks great, I can be a short boxer now!!!!!!! You've solved most of the problems or concerns I had. I'd like to see more KOs but the first one in this video looked pretty sound you dropped him like a sack of potatoes.
oh and I love that there is a feeling out mentality and respect of both player's power.

On the default controller configuration, which I am using in the video, you throw body punches by holding LT and throwing a punch. You don't need to crouch or lean forward.

This video was fantastic , btw. There's no denying it; this is closest thing to true boxing sim we've ever gotten.

Punches actually do damage now. Punches have impact. The jab is useful. Lunging punches (something I really wanted). I can't wait to play this. My only issues are the lighting, lack of true inside fighting, and couple of other things; but I expect that to be addressed in the next game.

Im sorry you cant blame people for being skeptical of those vids last night.........sure some people overreacted with all the stupid personal attacks....but others had legitimate beefs with what they were seeing

Also its not guaranteed that they will have the Online Play setup to sim settings......It kinda nullifies the positives if they just set it up for more of arcade/rocky experience

First off, thanks to daud_k0008, without him, I wouldn't have seen the new video because it's stickied.

Beautiful, the video was simply oustanding. At :46 of the video, you clearly see a new stun animation and it looks very good. Then at :50, that straight followed by that right hook, GORGEOUS. The straight had power behind it also, which makes the combos with a straight definitely more appealing. I'd love to know why at :57, Hagler's stamina drops like mad tho, even tho I liked it.

At 1:39, that counter right hook over the jab was niiice! That over hand left at 2:02, DAMN it looked good. And how about that one punch knockout from that left hook timed right when Hearns was about to throw that right hand? Holy SH-T

I'm amazed, feels like the boxing game dream of when I was little, has finally come true. I am extremely pumped up at the moment, the demo can't come soon enough.

Hell yeah EA.

Tyson : I know I'm great, but can I tell you something. In this situation every head must bow, every tongue must profess, this is the greatest of all time. *Ali*

Body punching felt rather useless in FN4, especially against GOAT AI. I've experimented by taking entire fights to counter punch to the body but I'd wear myself out more than the opponent, it seemed like if you wanted to wind someone you had to make them waste punches.
That game on GOAT felt more like a reflex trainer but what I saw was pretty beautiful in this clip. FN3 you could take complete control of a fight by body punching early. My friend would always try to beat me with a cut and he'd get so close but by that time he was so winded that he couldn't get a stoppage.

Do you feel the importance of body punching is back? Do your arms regain stamina while you're blocking? Thanks for the feedback dude, much respect.

Some of the things I noticed on this video.

Positive:
-beaten to the punch + punch reaction
-significant damage with reaction from 2 clean hit
-1 punch KO while Hearns was trying to land a punch while moving forward (somewhat a Martinez-Williams style)
-More weight on regular punches
-"Fraction of a second" counter windows? I'm not sure.
-Power modified punches can somehow break the guard
-More power on lunging punches
-Adequate punch reactions

Negative:
-low lighting (Okay, but not quite there yet)
-Sliding backwards after KD/KO (This has got to be removed)
-Footwork (a little bit improved, but still "auto-faces" your foe)
-Punch sounds (Oh! It's horrible! Buy a large piece of meat and use it as reference.)

Not sure:
-Foot steps (Maybe it depends on the venue?)

Question: Is the simulation settings going to be the default? How about online settings?
For once let it be in simulation settings as default, because it's a boxing game representing the sport of boxing with a roster consisting of real boxers.

I appreciate this new video anyway.

Helooooo?

Rocky is based on true story.

j/k

No but really, it shouldn't be something to be frowned upon.

Amazing video!

1) The sound of the punches really gives the impression of you hitting them.
2) Footwork has improved. Looks like Hagler and Hearns were moving fluildy and at the pace they are known for.
3) Hearns' mannerisms and punch motion were spot and they got his hand speed right. His Chopping right is there.
4) VERY VERY INGENIOUS having the Health meter show up when your stunned and in red.
5) Fantastic job with the Daze. Poetic mentioned this how eventho you can feel your boxer dazed, its not that noticeable.
6) These are better than Round 3's models.
7) Couldn't not really see a Counter Freeze that much.
The combinations were very fluid.
9) The knockout was very well done. Hearns gets hit and plops down as he should
10) I jizzed in my pants when i saw the both of them trading blows. I mean, i literally yelled "holy * this is awesome!"

I'm officially pumped up again!

The vid did look good, better than all the other vids combined,so i ask again, why are these settings not the default settings and are they usable for online ranked ???

I feel that the game would benefit greatly from having the "sim settings" set as the default
