I have never heard of this happening but it looks like the award for the AP DROY award will be revoted on and so will the AP All-Pro OLB vote because Cushing took 5 first place votes. Cushing is not removed from the voting though...Its just a revote. First seen it on Shefters twitter then I found this link.

they didn't revote for Peppers in 2002 when he got suspended for 4 games

According to Schefter, Cushing took and passed a lie detector test to prove he was not guilty of taking a PED. It sucks if after all of this he's actually telling the truth.

a lie detector doesn't hold up in court so it shouldn't work here

Agree, so many things factor into lie-detector tests, if the questioneer really wants to he/she could sway it either way depending on the sequence of questioning, mood, tenisty etc. Not the best or most reliable practice.

PFT made good points on this.. who administered the test, when did he take it, what questions were actually asked? I mean the simple fact is he tested positive for a banned substance. The question could have just been did you take a certain kind of steroid? He could have said no and was telling the truth, but obviously he took something else. Usually when there is smoke, there's fire with these things.. and as i posted earlier, there were rumors about this guy all the way back to when he was in HS at Bergen Catholic.

It really shouldnt be called a lie detector test, its really a stress detector test. All they detect is how stressed out you get when asked certain questions. You can cheat those tests by giving a false "control" question, after that you can answer any question they ask and it seems like you have no stress.
