My only issue is the game isnt allowing me to see any replays of knockdowns. I am wondering if it is my system (360) i bought without the extra hard drive. Anyone know or does the game just not do replays anymore??

Well to be honest. I feel that this is one of the best campaigns ever accompanied by a completely terrible online experience. I mean, if you're going to allow people with nothing better to do with their money than to just * it all away to do so, I understand, its gonna make y'all rich. But, if you'd like to KEEP your popularity, you might want to consider the 90% of people that feel that they already spent enough money on this game. When I say this, I mean things like my very first fight, I kept getting put up against a guy that was a 90 overall repeatedly. Needless to say, I got on the internet and this seems to be running rampid. So yeah I'm not even going to bother playing online until you guys get your heads out of your * and learn the meaning of a FAIR matchmaking system... Or perhaps once you boost all your stats, you can only play other people who boost the hell out of theirs.

After paying 60 bucks for a game where all you do is punch people, I think I paid enough. Apparently, EA doesn't think so either. Hopefully one day people will start using their brains before opening their wallets. Maybe this country wouldn't be as much of a joke as it has become.

I gotta give it to EA Canada though, they're now on the bandwagon that is bleeding America dry financially and with all this new crap you can buy in these games, they're leading the charge on the * of a gamer's wallet. Sad thing is, nobody has the backbone to do anything about it!

Great game but EA is so greedy. I'll explain......If you spend money on xp boosts offline in legacy mode, thinkin it would transfer over to online gym and OWC, it doesnt transfer over. In online they make all created cabs start at 78 overall, and then if you dont want to go through the strain it takes to level your cab online by winning fights, you have to buy xp boost packs ect. all over again, while you are online in a gym. Now alot of people (including myself)
thought that using xp boosts offline would transfer to online, but no, and the greedy EA bastards never explained this.

I liked the game at first but there are some things that are quickly getting on my nerves.

I could live with everything except for one.

MANY people complained about the body jab spam in the demo, then the game is released where not only can people body jab spam but THEY CAN MAX THE BODY JAB TO STOP PLAYERS MOVEMENT by 22%!!!

WTF... Have you guys even played against someone doing this? You can't counter them, it's pretty god damned lame. Not only do we get stuck with a bunch of chumps doing this, we get to do it with limited movement. Not being able to move around fast enough to get out of the way, then they freeze us with the bs and drain out stamina to * by the 2 round, please fix this.

This game is great with the exception of the ref getting in the way. The last fight night game I played was round 3. Maybe I'm just not used to the ref being there but he seems to walk right in the way at precisely the moment I get punched in the face. I find myself trying to always move to keep him away from me. There is no need to see the ref when he is between me and my boxer. Just make it so that he is seen in the background OR NOT SEEN AT ALL!!! It p***es me off to no end to see the guy walk back and forth across my screen. Does anyone else feel this way about this?i

I'll start with all the negatives about online play.

1. How is it that I knock a guy down in round 1 as Shane Mosely vs Oscar and in the first 10 seconds of round 2 he hits me with a counter jab and I get flashed KO'd?? That makes no sense whatsoever

2. I'm playing a Ray Robinson vs Marvin Hagler and in first 20 seconds my face is gushing blood off a few hits but in round 8 of the fight I have landed 112 power punches and 67 counters and his face isnt even bleeding at all? Where are your developers coming up with these random damage levels and cuts?

3. My last 3 fights I got flashed KO'd. First 2 came in 1st round. One by a counter straight and the other a power punch jab. The other a non counter body shot in 2nd round. Are you serious? This game makes no sense at all. A jab flash KO in first round? Come on now EA that is ridiculos and the guy has the nerve to send me a message saying I suck when the fight ends in 1 min off a jab. Get out of here with this.

ONLINE

That's all I play,
So anyway

This is game a has a lot of potential. Better than FN3 and FN4 put together. BUT, the blocking is horrific. I'm a boxing guru when it comes to fight night. I cannot fathom why I can't land punches. I know why. L1 blocks everything. So I have to hope one of the punches I'm throwing gets in, HOPE, and HOPE I don't get countered. Also, the countering system needs to be adjusted. Were talking about a major overhaul. Online noobs are not boxing, there just standing blocking and while blocking, they can either attacking and countering, or worse that in survival mode, running. I've fought about 40 to 50 fights, I understand the reason behind perfect blocking, but it is a major exploit. My opponents have held L1 the entire fight from start to finish, and every punch is blocked and or countered, and there's no way to punch threw, no body shots, no worries about getting hit because blocking in worry free. Punching from the block negates skill, because the consequences of throwing punches is not even worried about. For example. A figher who is holding L1, can throw a lunging jab to the body, to the body, that's right, and not worry about getting hit because he already blocking before the punch lands. Attempting to throw to counter, is shooting in the dark. Hit or Miss. The stamina does not need to be addressed. Just blocking, i waiting for the patch

I'm new to the Fight Night game series, so this is kind of a fresh impression.

Personally, I enjoy the game quite a lot. Runs smooth, and I only play it online, which has zero lag except for the VERY occasional hiccup. I've never had any major lag spikes, or a single disconnect.

I use the PS3 version of the game.

The only actual flaw that I see with the game are that players are able to purchase booster packs and play with their created boxers in the OWC, and it's basically the same top 5-8 or so players who will always be on top until the rest of the player base catches up in stats (which could be months and months), if they ever do. This is assuming they stick with the game, as most non-boosters I've talked too (I'm not a booster) are actually growing rapidly fed up with this feature they provided to players.

Aside from that rather glaring flaw in their game-play model (from a business model standpoint it's brilliant), the game is pretty solid for me. As a former amateur boxer, I find it great, and all the fundamentals that I know I can apply to the game and be very effective as an in-game boxer (I'm currently in the top 10 on Lightweight, without a single boost.)

My one suggestion would be to have two separate OWC regions.

One region is for players who have purchased boosters, and another is for players who have not purchased boosters of any kind, so you can have a level playing field on either side -- whether it be you want to have the boosted up player who can one shot somebody, or play with non-boosters who are there to box and level up as a sportsman.

Hope my suggestion doesn't fall on deaf ears.

Thanks for a great game, guys.

Input Lag is a real game breaker. Slow, awkward and not the sport I love to watch. How something as damaging as input lag was allowed in is beyond me.

From Knockout Kings to To FNR4 Fight Night Champion is the best boxing game ever realeased.

Its a Masterpiece! Tour de force!

The Champion mode rocks! I finished it in about 4 hrs. (Well spent 4 hours)

I'm in the middle of Legacy mode now. Totally Awesome!

Full Replays!!! FINALLY!!!! THANK U EASPORTS. Although there is no replay for the entire fight (offline) you can replay an entire round. You can only save 20 secs at a time of the replay. But if you want to save the whole round you can break it up into 20 sec segements. And considering poor replay in the past, this is a homerun!!!

The boxing venues are FN AWESOME! The lighting, The ray tracing, the light sources, camera angles, the shadows, the textures, Awesome.

CARD GIRLS, CARD GIRLS, CARD GIRLS, YES, YES, YES. big improvement over FNR4 . The faces need a little work, but everything else is YES YES YES.

The Referee in the ring just adds more realism and provides for more immersion into the experience. Excellent Job EA!!!

The controls are PERFECT you have your choice of BUTTONS and FCS. Although FCS is a big improvement over TPC, I still prefer buttons, Thank you EA for including BOTH!!!

Fight Night Champion is a HOME RUN! its worth every penny.

I'm on the PS3 and I can't put it down.

The only criticism that I have, is the boxer roster. Even though you can create your own (which means you can add any boxer that's missing) The commentators don't really acknowledge the history and accomplishments of a fighter that you've added.

For example: My CAF is Jack the Galveston Giant Jackson He was one of the greatest heavy weights of all time in the early days of boxing. But the announcers can only refer to him by his nick name and do not comment on any of the facts that are widely known, because he is not officially in the roster.

I can understand when boxers like Mayweather that want too much money so they are not added, but some of the original legends
of boxing should be included (out of respect) e.g

Joe Louis The Brown Bomber
Rocky Marciano
Jack Dempsy
Jack Johnson
Ken Norton. etc

But outside of a less than complete roster this game is 10 out of 10!!!

GOOD JOB EA CANADA!

I have played every EA fight night game (even prior fight night versions).

FNC is by far a better game (online and off-line)

With that said there are some issues particularly online.

1. High volume power punching at the HW. HW just can't throw 400+ power punches per fight
2. High volume punching 1100+ per 10 round fight at 2min rounds. These fights are rare and if the fighter is taking punches there output lesson on they get knocked out.

Ironically both these problems where in FNR3 and FNR4 online, so I am not surprise they are still here.

Regardless its still a great game

.Shorten the distance at which jabs and straights are turned into hooks. If the height disparity is too great, it becomes impossible for the shorter fighter to land jabs and straights on the taller fighter leaning back. Even though the taller fighter's head is often at ideal range for a straight when they are leaning back, you are instead forced to throw a hook which has zero chance of landing. It would be better if the mechanic was removed entirely, but i know that won't happen... If a fighter jabs from too close, then the consequence is an ineffective punch... not the jab magically turning into a hook.

.It takes several minutes to find a match with 3 minute rounds online (I've had to create my own session every time). It took a couple of seconds in round 4. 3 minute rounds should be default... I have no interest in fighting short 2 minute rounds, and it takes so long to find a normal fight, that it's almost not worth it. 2 minute rounds give the spammers an advantage, and they aren't the standard in real boxing.

.Accidental weaving... It is insane how often a weave just comes from nowhere... This is particularly costly if you are using a tall fighter... With certain fighters, I NEVER want to use the weave, but it's gonna happen a few times for no reason, every fight.

.Glued feet and lack of diagonal forward movement... There is no good reason for this.

and not that it matters to me now, because i've already played it.. but Champion mode suffers from terrible audio cut-out, and video skipping... at least on the PS3 version it's struggling just to hold itself together during the cinematics.
